Applications on prescribed forms are invited for the following positions:
1. Assistant Professor (TTS), Electrical Engineering, 01 Post, Open Merit, Main Campus.
Qualification: Ph.D./relevant terminal qualification from a recognized institution and excellent
written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills.
2. Lecturer (BPS-18), 06 posts Permanent, Open Merit, (Islamic Studies 02, Urdu 02, Business
Administration 01, Software Engineering 01, Main Campus.
Qualification: Masters Degree (Foreign) OR M.Phil./MS (Pakistan) or equivalent degree (18
years) in the relevant field from HEC recognized University/ Institution with no 3 rd division in the
academic career. Age: 21-40 years
3. Research Associate/ Junior Lecturer (BPS-17) Art & Design, 02 posts, Permanent, Open
Merit, Main Campus.
Qualification: Master degree or equivalent (1st Class) in the relevant field with no 3rd Division in
the Academic Career from HEC recognized university/ institution. Age: 21-40 years
4. Laboratory Engineer (Electronics/Telecom)(BPS-17) 02 Posts, Permanent, Open Merit,
(Electrical Engineering 01, Software Engineering 01) Main Campus, Muzaffarabad
Qualification: 1st Class Bachelor degree in relevant field of Engineering. Age: 21-40 years.
5. Laboratory Supervisor (BPS-16) 02 Posts, Permanent, Open Merit, Department of Electrical
Engineering, Main Campus.
Qualification: 2nd Class B.Sc. with 5 years experience in relevant field. Age: 18-40 years.
6. Laboratory Assistant (BPS-9) 02 Posts, Permanent, Open Merit, Department of Electrical
Engineering, Main Campus.
Qualification: F. Sc. 2nd class. Age: 18-40 years
7. Laboratory Attendant (BPS-2) 02 Post, Permanent, Open Merit, Department of Electrical
Engineering, Main Campus.
Qualification: At least Matric (with Science subject). Age: 18-40 years.
8. Naib Qasid (BPS-1) 01 Post, Permanent, Open Merit, Department of Electrical Engineering,
Main Campus.
Qualification: (i) At least Matric (ii) Physical fitness. Age: 18-40 years

General Instructions:
1. Candidates are required to submit attested copies of their degrees, result cards, transcripts,
certificates & domicile etc alongwith prescribed application forms in person or send by mail to
the Registrar (AJ&K University).
2. Candidates may obtain application forms from the office of Deputy Registrar (Meetings)
University Chehla Campus, Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir,-13100 by producing Rs. 1000/- for
the post mentioned at Sr. No. 1, Rs. 600/- for the post mentioned at Sr. No. 2-4 and Rs.
300/- for the posts mentioned at Sr. No. 5-8 on University Challan forms available at
authorized branches of Habib Bank in Azad Kashmir OR by sending a bank draft of Rs.
1000/- for the post mentioned at Sr. No. 1, Rs. 600/- for the post mentioned at Sr. No. 2-4
and Rs. 300/- for the posts mentioned at Sr. No. 5-8 in favour of Director Finance & Planning,
University of AJ&K, Muzaffarabad alongwith a large size self- addressed envelope affixed
with Rs. 50/- postage stamps.
3. Age limit shall not be applicable to in service university employees.
4. In-service candidates must apply through proper channel by the due date otherwise their
applications will not be entertained.

5. The candidates applying for the posts of Electrical/ Software Engineering must submit their
PEC accreditation/ registration certificate.
6. The services as a teacher in High Schools/ Embassy Schools/ Degree Colleges/ Cadet
Colleges will not be counted as experience for appointment to a teaching post in the
university.
7. Preference will be given to AJK nationals.
8. During the course of selection available posts would be taken into consideration.
9. Applicants will be short listed on the basis of written test/ NTS (where required) in their
respective fields.
10. The University reserves the rights of cancellation of advertised posts partially or totally and
also increase or decrease the number of posts without assigning any reason.
11.

Application forms indicating the posts should reach the office of the Registrar, AJ&K
University, Chellah Campus, Muzaffarabad latest by (Wednesday) 02-12-2015. Incomplete/
applications received after the due date will not be entertained.
