GRADING:
One of the most frequently asked questions by a new judoka is When do I get my coloured belt? Each
belt or kyu has specific requirements that are based on the Mudansha
Mudansha Grading Syllabus and that
must be met by the judoka. These requirements are based on age, knowledge of terminology and
techniques. Good attendance and the discretion of instructors are also factored into earning a higher
belt. Testing will take place by the first week of December and first week of May. Judoka are given an
information sheet containing the requirements for the belt that they are seeking.
