2 SCOPE (RSS WORKS)

The scope of work also described in clause A 1.1 & A 1.5 of ITT includes the
following:
Design Works: Contractor shall be responsible for carrying out all the design works
associated with the construction of RSS cum AMS cum TSS including all electrical, civil,
architectural, structural, drainage, plumbing works etc. All RSS cum TSS cum AMS shall be
of GIS type.
Regarding all transformer supply for this contract, power losses are a real concern. Contractor
shall design and size the transformer so that performance requirement is fulfilled and so that
transformer losses are as low as possible. The contractor shall ensure that the designs
proposed are of most modern and latest available technology internationally. The contractor
shall propose the designs, supported with references of designs adopted in other similar
metros in India and worldwide most recently with improvements in the designs based on the
Aesthetics, working experience or financial savings.
For Validation of design of complete system, the Contractor shall arrange auditing of design
of works within the scope of work which primarily covers Receiving cum Auxiliary cum
Traction Substation, 33kV Power Supply system as per IEC and other relevant Standards
from reputed Independent Agency (Auditor), who have already undertaken similar job in past
for other Metro system. The Bidder or its any of the partner or the designer shall not be part
of this independent agency.
Any suggestions / improvements / Corrections in the design works suggested by the
Independent Agency are to be carried out by the contractor at no extra cost
Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of 02 nos. RSS cum TSS cum AMS at
132 kV incoming supply voltages stepped down to 25 KV single Phase traction supply
(TSS) and also stepped down to 33kV, 3 phase supply voltage for the Auxiliaries (AMS),
at Noida Sec-83 & Noida Sec-153.
The work at each receiving substations cum traction substations and Auxiliary main
substation will broadly comprise of the following except if specifically stated otherwise
in the PS, Drawings & the BOQ
Construction of substation building with boundary wall, approach road, cable trenches,
foundations, supports, drainage and other civil works. The building shall have all the
amenities and features to be at least similar to the RSS building built in Phase I & II of
DMRC.
Two nos. of receiving bays at 132 kV incoming voltage from the respective utilities
(Indoor GIS type)
One no. of bus coupler bay (Indoor GIS type)
Two nos. of outgoing bays for traction transformer (Indoor GIS type)
Two nos. of outgoing bays for auxiliary main transformer (Indoor GIS type)
Two nos. of spare bays for auxiliary main transformer for future PD requirement (Only
