KEPUTRAN COMPOST HOUSE

Keputran Compost House was built and started operating in 2005. This Compost House is
located on Keputran Street to the east of Keputran Market. It covers 200 m2 area, equipped with
crusher machine and process market waste about 15 m/ day.

BRATANG BINANGUN PACKAGE

BRATANG COMPOSTING HOUSE
It is located at Raya Manyar Street, built in 1995 and began to operate in 1996. The total area is
around 391.9 m2 and its capacity is 12 m3/day. Bratang composting house could produce 8
m3/day. At this location there is also a waste processing which generates electricity by utilizing
organic and inorganic waste. Electric power generated at 4,000 watts / 12 hours and used for
lighting in Bratang composting house and partly Flora Park.

WONOREJO PACKAGE
WONOREJO COMPOST CENTRE
Wonorejo Compost Center serves as the building of composting with capacity of around 20
tonnes/day. Wonorejo Compost Center is a joint project between Surabaya City Government
and the City of Kitakyushu through Nishihara Co. Ltd. Composting facility area is around
1.141m2, built in Wonorejo Nursery Garden, Wonorejo Kendalsari Street, Wonorejo Urban
Village in Rungkut Subdistrict. Method of composting process in Wonorejo compost center is
performed aerobically. There are several equipment that are used, such as composting pit,
wheel loaders, vibratory screen, and crusher machines. Organic waste as compost material is
supplied from Super Depo Sutorejo, tree pruning, and market waste. Product of composting is
used for landscaping activities and distributed to those in need.

JAMBANGAN PACKAGE
JAMBANGAN COMPOSTING HOUSE
TPS 3R (temporary landfill) in Jambangan have some facilities such as recycle center and
composting house. It is equipped with a conveyor belt, plastic press machine and crusher
machine. Jambangan recycle center which has capacity of 20 tonnes/day in urban areas is
obtained from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia. It is
located in Jambangan Kebonagung Street, Kebonagung Urban Village, Jambangan Subdistrict.
Service coverage area of TPS 3R Jambangan is Jambangan Subdistrict and its surroundings.

Jambangan Subdistrict which is known as an Ecotour Kampung is expected to be more

sophisticated in terms of waste management with the existence of TPS Jambangan 3R .

GENTENG PACKAGE
GENTENG MARKET TEMPORARY LANDFILL
Genteng Market's temporary landfill is located on the Genteng Durasim Street, right on the west
side of Genteng Market. Coverage area of Genteng Market's temporary landfill are Genteng
Market and the surrounding area of Gentengkali. The area of Genteng Market's temporary
landfill is around 40 m2 and is equipped with a container with capacity of 14m 3. The waste is
transported at least once in every 2 days .

Medokan Semampir Kampung

Medokan Semampir is a kampung that preserves the environment by reducing waste
segregation, reforestation, improving drainage, sanitation, and has high community
participation to actively participate in environmental management efforts independently.
Separate activity had been started since 2012 and resulted in an award as Best of The
Best MDS. Medokan Semampir also has waste bank which is able to attract 104
customers with a turnover of 1.3 million / month .
KEPUTIH PACKAGE

HARMONI PARK
Harmoni Park was a former landfill in Surabaya that had been relocated in 2001. It was
developed gradually by Public Cleanliness and Parks Department of Surabaya in an area of 6,3
hectares. Some facilities provided by the park are playground area, jogging track, plaza,
bamboo walking, and urban forest area. The development process of Harmoni Park is still in
progress. The plan includes street vendors arrangement, rusunawa (vertical housing),
convention hall, deer captive area, etc.

MOROKREMBANGAN PACKAGE
MBAH RATU INDOOR TEMPORARY LANDFILL
Mbah Ratu landfill is also known as a Transfer Station. It is equipped with garbage press
machine obtained from Ministry of Public Work and Housing Indonesia in 2014.
The function of this indoor temporary landfill is to transfer garbage from collector/garbage cart
and/or from small waste transporter vehicle to the bigger one. It uses the process of compacting
in order to reduce the transportation into Benowo landfill. It can compress the garbage up to
44% out of the total volume of incoming garbage.
