    Transmission Lines - Problems

    Problem # 01
    Consider a tranmssion line with the following
    characterstics:
    R=0.5 /m, L= 0.2 H/m, C= 100 pf/m,
    G=0.1 /m, f=1 GHz
    Find propagation constant, attenuation
    constant, phase constant

    Problem # 02
    Prove for : 1 Neper = 8.68 dB/m

    Problem # 3
    For a transmission line with incident voltage of 5V,
    and reflected voltage of 3V, determine:
    1) Reflection Coefficient
    2) SWR

    Problem # 4
    Determine the characteristic impedance for an
    air dielectric two wire parallel transmission line
    with a D/r ratio of 12.22

    Problem # 5
    Determine the characteristic impedance for an
    RG-59 A coaxial cable with the following
    specifications:
    L=0.118 H/ft, C=21 pF/ft
