Chemical Dept.

Mostly labs are there.

The south point is till G+3.
The staircase in South, acts as fire escape staircase.
G+1 helps in ventilation in G+3.
The courtyard is covered up so as to keep the place warm.
The labs are huge, but they are not properly ventilated.
Most classes are taken in L.A.

Mechanical Dept.

Small room for the labs at the front side of building.

Faculty rooms are very large with 1 faculty and 3 PhD scholars
working.
Garage type door to facilitate large machines large machine lab.
1 faculty lab not getting any ventilation.
Production design lab is having double height , for the fumes need
more space to escape.
No fire safety. Only one staircase is there to exit from the 1st floor.

Workshop

Per workshop departments 25 students.

The plan is a very simple one , we need to understand the user
profile.
Machine shop too heavy, so need more maintenance. Big iron pieces
used in the machine shop are cut in the welding shop.
The middle space is used as courtyard, but not properly maintained.
The plan is made such, that it provides ventilation & height in the
interior.
Palm trees are in front.
No chair is there inside, otherwise students will sit.

Library

Control room all the floor.

AC control room till G+1.
G+1
Behaviour room
students are restricted.
Toilet for females only in ground floor.
We need an interactive entrance.
We can have a museum with it, we can display over there about the
things made in the college campus like Digital display & Art room.

Spaces which doesnt require a control environment (like AC)

clock room. Stacking and reading space needs AC.

BM & BT

No fire exit.
Travel distance is more than 22.5 metres.
For 540 capacity is the present student. It can accommodate more
people around 900 students. So used for extension of building.
Ramp 1:10 ratio, thus it couldnt be used by wheel chairs.
Courtyard not properly utilized.
Casement windows
so no cross ventilation
but for
humidity
it remains cool inside.
Double loaded corridor can be there as gaps in the middle can be
utilized as interactive space. Presently, single loaded corridor is
there.
