2.05 ESTIDAMA PBRS REQUIREMENT RE-R1: MINIMUM ENERGY PERFORMANCE
& RE-1: IMPROVED ENERGY PERFORMANCE:
A. General
1. The U-values have been calculated during design stage using Area Weightage
Method, it is the CONTRACTOR responsibility to re-calculate the U-value for all
building fabric elements based on the approved shop drawing, and ensure the
project meets the values specified herein.
2. The CONTRACTOR must show compliance to the stated U-Values prior to the
procurement of the envelope components, through the provision of test certificates,
updated calculations and drawings.
3. The CONTRACTOR must provide test certificates to show compliance with the
below thermal conductivity & U-value
4. The COTRACTOR shall update the drawings and calculation as per his shop
drawings & method of construction.
B. Roof Construction
1. The roof assembly consists of one type of construction only and therefore the Uvalue of the same is calculated as follows, the CONTRATOR is strictly required to
comply with the U-value stated:

PART 3 EXECUTION
3.01 EXAMINATION
A. Verify that substrate, adjacent materials, and insulation materials are dry and that
substrates are ready to receive insulation and adhesive.
B. Verify substrate surfaces are flat, free of honeycomb, fins, irregularities, or materials or
substances that may impede adhesive bond.
3.02 INSULATION BOARD OVER WATERPROOF MEMBRANES
A. Refer to the detail drawings for extent of installation.
B. Lay insulation boards directly over waterproof membranes, do not use adhesives. Butt
edges and ends tightly to adjacent boards and to penetrations.
