SPECIAL CALLED BUSINESS MEETING

Plan to participate in the meeting, held at the conclusion of
Sundays 11:00 AM worship as we consider the proposal by
the Deacons to become an incorporated entity. The final
discussion and vote will be held at our regularly scheduled
Quarterly Conference on Wednesday, September 28.

SAINTS ALIVE
A new year of Saints Alive has started. The Saints Alive
Choir is for singers of all experience levels who enjoy
praising the Lord. We will be rehearsing and singing in
church throughout the fall and into the winter. Sorry for the
confusion last week about singing. The BARACA Class did
a great job in our place, didnt they? We will be sharing
special music in the evening service Sunday, September 11.
Were singing Unspeakable Joy Medley. Remember our
goal for enlarging the choir and do your part to make it
happen!
The date the choir has selected to attend the state Festival is
October 6-7. Mark your calendar and signup next Monday
to attend this great event in Toccoa, Ga. Bring a friend and
come into His presence with singing, and into His courts
with praise!

CHILDRENS CHOIRS

Combined Service Sunday, August 28

We will all worship together at the 11 am service this Sunday. There will be
no 9 am service.
I am requesting all Early and Extended Session volunteers be available at the
11 am service due to the influx of children from both services and High
Attendance Sunday. Thanks

Promotion Sunday Sunday, August 28

We will promote up to the next age or grade level on Sunday, August 28 at the
end of the Sunday School hour. Remember, this is also High Attendance
Sunday, so be sure that any visitors you bring know where to drop and pick up
their children. If you or they need any assistance, please do not hesitate to ask
me!
Attention 1st and 6th grade parents! Remember, we will be presenting your
child with a Bible at the beginning of the joint 11 am service. Please be sure
your child is seated in the Sanctuary at 10:50 am! This is just after they move
up to their new Sunday School class.

Sunday School Teachers Needed

Promotion Sunday is just around the corner and I am still searching for 4
Sunday School teachers. I am looking for two teachers for both the 4s and 5s
class and the 1st and 2nd grade class. I have asked many personally, but I
want everyone to be praying and know there is still a need. I know God
knows exactly who will be teaching even if I do not. I pray that whoever it is
will be obedient to the call! If you are interested, please call, text or email me
so we can begin to pray together and seek God's direction for your service to
FBC.

Temporary Part Time Nursery Worker Needed

Our kickoff date for our graded choirs was last Wednesday,
August 17. Schools are back in session and we have an
exciting year of music and praise in store for each of our
children. Choirs meet from 5:45 to 6:25 each Wednesday
evening.

The Preschool Committee is searching for a temporary replacement nursery

worker for Sunday and Wednesday Evenings. Qualifications include
submitting a background check, completion of application and interview, and
must be at least 20 years of age. Please take an application from the office and
pass it to anyone who may be interested in this ministry.

BIRTHDAY WISHES

We are on the lookout for individuals and families that will join us as we serve
during our services. We need people for both Early and Extended and age
groups Babies-2s and 3s-5s. If you are willing to serve, please let me know!
My email and cell phone are below.

Merita Rowan, the oldest member of FBC, turns 104 years

old on Saturday, August 27. The Manor is hosting a party
on Friday at 2:00 P.M. if you would like to attend!

Early & Extended Session 2016-2017

Stacey

I am looking forward to gathering together this

coming Sunday morning as we kick off the
new church year with our high attendance day.
Be sure to invite someone to come with you to
our service. We will have one united service at
11:00. As always, I am excited to be filling in
for Bro. Milton as he is away. Please be
praying for this Sunday to be a day that God
does a great and supernatural work in our
church!!
It is time to begin planning for our winter
retreats. We have MOVE 2016, December 2930, for middle school students and Strength to
Stand, January 14-16, 2017, for high school
students. October 12 is the day to be signed
up and paid. Check out the website,
www.insideoutstudents.net for more
information.
Blessings,
Jeff
