Kaziranga University

Kaziranga University (KU) was established in the year 2012 under the
Assam Private University Act no XII of 2007 under section 2(f) of UGC Act
1956. Promoted by the North Eastern Knowledge Foundation (NEKF) by
the Khetan Industrial group, it was the brain child of Shri MD Khetan,
Chancellor, Kaziranga University who is also the Chairman of North
Eastern Knowledge Foundation (NEKF).
Kaziranga University offers a warm and serene atmosphere with a lush
green campus, sprawling across an area of about 50 acres near Jorhat
town, Assam. Academic campus(Administrative block, Academic schools)
is built in 20 acres and remaining land is used to built up other student
and staff amenities( 2 boys hostels, 2 girls hostels, 4 staff quarters, VC
and Presidents bunglow, football ground, basketball court, tennis court,
power house, medical centre, canteen, market, grocery etc).
Kaziranga University has five schools named School of Engineering, School
of Business, School of Basic Science, School of Computing Science and
School of Social Science to offer various undergraduate, post graduate
and Phd program.
The School of Engineering offers programmes inB.Tech.(CE, ME, EE, CSE,
EEE, ECE), M. Tech. (CE, ME) and Int. M. Tech. (CE, ME, EE, CSE, EEE, ECE),
Int. MBA with B.Tech. The School of Business offers MBA, MBA (Hospital
Administration), MBA (Infrastructure Management), MBA (International),
M.Com., BBA, B.Com. and Int. MBA with BBA/B.Com., The School of Basic
Sciences offers M.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Math and Int. M.Sc. in Physics,
Chemistry, Math. The School of Computing Sciences offers M.Sc.
(Information Technology) and Int. M.Sc. (Information Technology) and the
School of Social Sciences offers programmes in BSW, MSW, M.A.
(Sociology) and Int. BSW-MSW.
It is noteworthy that KU has already taken an international leap by
partnering with some of the world's highest ranking universities and
institutions in terms of academic and cultural exchange programs which is
part of an effort to allow its students to make an impact on the world
stage.

Kaziranga University has signed an agreement with IBM to offer
specializations in the area of Cloud Computing & Virtualization, Business
Analytics & Optimization, Mainframe Technology, and Cyber Security &
Forensics in B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) program, to
provide students with the needed skills & edge while seeking employment
in the industry. As part of IBM Innovation Centre for Education
program, IBM will provide Kaziranga University the design and delivery of
innovative curricula integrated with a Learning Management System.
A joint program with North Eastern Institute of Science & Technology
(NEIST) has been established to provide collaborative cooperation through
recognizing CSIR-NEIST as accredited research centre for research and
directed study by KU. Kaziranga University also facilitates CSIR-NEIST
professionals to pursue higher studies, research and need-based training
program in KU through the teaching program of KU.
