Finding Our Way
The past summers activities were our first in this new facility and
showed that we can be resourceful. Although we had around 200
guests last year in the Jimtown gymnasium, we still pulled off
serving around 150 this year with a much smaller foot print.
Interestingly enough, some of our guests from the Jimtown clothing
pantry found their way over to eat with us, not to mention new
people. Our Hog Roast showed that we could still do a Community
Meal in our new digs.
Transitioning into Autumn means a change in routines for many
people. All of the students are back in the swing of things and new
patterns are being established. As parents it is your privilege to
ensure that your children are being exposed to positive Christian
values, programs, and people on a weekly basis. As you make
involvement in these things a priority, they will as well. It is a real
asset being a part of an intentionally intergenerational church. Many
of our activities and meetings are designed to be done with the
entire family, and the younger can learn as the older models the way
forward. Hoping we all realize how blessed we are to be together.

Work It Out
Getting outside of ourselves takes a deliberate decision. Serving
together with other FCCers, attending a prayer meeting, going on an
outing, eating a lunch together - all require time and commitment.
Everybody has some time, we each must decide where we want to
invest it. We show others how much we value them when we make time
to be with them.
We have been talking more about Jesus words, where two or more
gather in His name that He would be there with them. Jesus by His
Spirit promises to show up, but He still leaves it up to us to decide if we
will prioritize gathering with other believers, whatever the occasion.
