1.

What was the biggest challenge you faced while planning the
lesson?
The biggest challenge faced while planning was to come up with a
method of teaching a concept while integrating a different
language. It was difficult to determine the appropriate amount of
content we would introduce.
2. What was the biggest challenge you faced while teaching the
lesson?
The biggest challenge faced was trying to get across a point or
concept in a language that I was not familiar with, and also trying to
remain on the same page as my group members.
3. What did you rely on the most during your instruction to overcome
these challenges?
We relied mostly on hand gestures and pictures of the concepts we
were teaching. Since we did not know how to linguistically
communicate effectively, we had to rely on these other methods of
communication.
4. Was communication with your students easier or more difficult than
you originally thought?
Communication was definitely more difficult than I anticipated. I was
surprised that we even struggled in communicating with each other
as a group.
5. Do you feel you used co-teaching as effectively as you could have?
I think that we could have co-taught more effectively. I think it was
difficult for us to teach in this scenario because we are new to this
type of teaching style.
6.

Do you feel you achieved your objective? How can you be sure you
did or didnt?
I think that we achieved about 60 percent of our objective. When we
started having difficulties with communication, we seemed to lose
group connection and tried to explain concepts individually.
7.

As a student of other groups lessons, what was the biggest

challenge you faced?
The biggest challenge I faced was spending more time trying to
understand what was being communicated than time being used to
understand content.
8. As a student, what did you rely on most to comprehend what was
being taught?
I relied most on hand gestures to understand what was being taught.
