Objectives : By the end of the lesson, pupils
will be able to identify and say words that
contain the sound of est, -er, -ed and tion
correctly.
Activities :
1) Teacher recites the poem aloud to the class
and pupils recite after teacher. (textbook page
75)
2) Pupils recite the poem silently.
3) Teacher picks pupils randomly to recite the
poem paragraph by paragraph.
4) Teacher discusses the content of the poem.
5) Teacher asks pupils to identify the words in
colours and find the meanings in the dictionary.
6) Teacher divides pupils into 4 groups. Each
group uses different voices and read aloud the
poem.
7) Closure- Teacher distributes worksheets
Categorizing the words according to the sound
