Getting know the alphabets

Korean alphabets are very different with the common one that
we use. First of all , let me introduce the alphabets.

As seen in the table , the ` consonant are silent one. Korean


vowels alphabets must be written after `.

The special

consonants are `and `.


=Ga

= Gu

= Gya

= Gyu

= Geo (read as Go)

= Geu (read as Ke)

= Gyeo (read as Go)

= Gi

= Go
= Gyo

As you seen above , ` and ` have some special treatment


with how it was read. For ` , it must be read as G but for
some occasion , it could be read as K too. Read the table , and
Im sure you can read hangul ^^ Practice it and ask for
peoples opinion about how you spelled it :D

Ive listed some of Korean words and Ill tell you the mean. Ill
give you 40 words for the first lesson ^^ These are some words
that you might hear in regular life or spilled out from Korean
citizens mouth.
1. ! = eomeona (read : omona) for something that
unexpectable like when you heard that your idol is getting
married , your mother fell , like that.
2. = Eomeo (read : Omo) short term for eomeona
3. = Aiguu (read : aigoo) its like Ya ! or for saying
somethiong unfortunate like if your mom tell you to clean
the house like 4 times and she will said .... ....
? (Aigoo ... Neo jinjja .... Nae mal andeulleo ?)

4. = Aniya , for reject or refuse something or if you
want to clean a misunderstood.
5. = Mianhae , for apologizing
6. = Arrasseo , mean understand
7. = Malhaebwa , mean Tell Me
8. = Bballi (read : pali) mean hurry up! , Chop chop
chop !
9. = Jokeum (read : Chokeum) mean a bit , a little

Dari gambar di atas, perhatikan juga bahwa ada beberapa konsonan yang akan berubah
bunyinya jika ditaruh di bawah (final), antara lain:

: dari 'r' jadi 'l'

: dari tanpa suara jadi 'ng'

: dari 's' jadi 't'

Pengucapan konsonan pada Hangul mirip dengan konsonan bahasa Indonesia. Sedangkan
untuk vokalnya, perhatikan contoh penulisan bahasa Indonesia menggunakan tulisan Hangul di
bawah ini:

Kesimpulannya, untuk menguasai Hangul, sebenarnya kita cuma perlu menghafal 20 bentuk
unit saja, 14 konsonan dasar + 6 vokal dasar. Selebihnya, kita cukup memahami pola
improvisasi pada tiap unit tersebut, apakah didobel, +i, +w atau +y. Hal ini lah yang membuat
tulisan Korea (Hangul) sangat jauh lebih mudah dipelajari daripada tulisan Cina atau Hanja.
