NAME:

Krupp______________________________________
1. Description of Project: What will your project will look like? In no
more than three paragraphs, describe your project and its purpose.
My Senior Project will be about me job shadowing the Veterinarians that work at Animal
Medical Services & the Zoo. I will be shadowing him/her during surgeries, checkups, vaccinations,
etc. This will benefit me in many ways be the simple fact I want to go to school For Exotic Animal
Veterinarian Medicine. During this process Ill get to see if this is what I want to do as a career and it
will also widen my knowledge of what exactly being Veterinarian entails, and just what exactly these
animals go through along with the employees.

2. Prior Knowledge: List below previous knowledge acquired about the project,
tasks already completed, and materials or sources procured.
Everything is completely new to me, and I have not started my project quite yet.

3. Proposed Mentor: Whom have you asked to be your mentor and why? Is this
person willing to sign the mentor contract and also provide proof of completion documentation
to the teacher at the end of the project?
Im currently still working on getting a mentor for this project but the person Im
reaching out too is the Vet for my animals and he/she is the Vet for Animal Medical

Services/Zoo. They both have a Doctorate in the field of Veterinarian Medicine and would be
able to help me in learning all about their career.

4. Task Analysis: After talking with your mentor, develop a timeline that lists all the tasks
you must complete in order to finalize your project by the due date. The timeline should include
anticipated completion dates for each task. If you are raising money for a charity, you must indicate
how you will handle the money you collect. For any fundraising at North, you must create an
account at the bookstore.
INSERT TIMELINE HERE
September: I hope to have 8 hours completed and to have also witnessed a surgery.
October: I hope to have all my hours or almost all of my hours completed and to have gone to the
Zoo to shadow 2-3 times or more.

5. Costs & Materials: After conferring with your mentor, you should research all
materials and costs needed to complete your project successfully.

6. Stretch for learning: Make a claim about how this project is a stretch for your
learning. Then, support your claim with at least three reasons. Make sure your reasons are explained
thoroughly.

This project is a stretch for my learning because I have never learned about Veterinarian
Sciences and have never been around it in a professional setting before. I will learn a hand full of
surgeries the Vet performs on Dogs, Cats, Tigers, etc. Also, I will learn how discussions with patients
are handled and what questions you should be asking. Thirdly, I will learn of medical terminology
and names of tools they use and how to give animals baths possibly.
