Laboratory Science, 3/E Anna P. Ciulla Georganne K. Buescher ISBN 0-8385-0340-3 (c) 2002 by Pearson Education, Inc. Upper Saddle River, New Jersey 07458 INTRODUCTION: This CD-ROM contains the Companion Website for Prentice Hall Health's Q and A Review of Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science, 3/E, by Anna P. Ciulla and Georganne K. Buescher. There are 14 chapters. Chapters 1 thru 13 contain an Introduction and Matching tests, and chapter 14 contains an Introduction and 100 Multiple Choice questions. This CD-ROM content can be viewed using either Netscape Navigator or Communicator (version 4.x or later) or Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 4.x or later). Double click the start.html icon or launch Navigator/Communicator or Internet Explorer, select "Open" from the "File" menu, then browse to locate the file "start.html" on the CD-ROM. The results reporter feature of the Multiple Choice questions module may not function in the Internet Explorer browser. For that reason we suggest that, whenever possible, users should take the quizzes while in the Navigator/Communicator browser. In addition, this media requires a Java-capable browser of version 4 or greater. Once you have opened the file, you will be able to browse the features of this CD-ROM as if it were a Web site. Programs such as Internet Explorer, and Netscape Navigator or Communicator constantly get updated. If you have access to the Internet, you can be assured of getting the latest versions of these programs by downloading them from the manufacturer's Web sites: www.microsoft.com (for Microsoft Internet Explorer) www.netscape.com (for Navigator/Communicator) MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: -- Any Power Macintosh, or compatible computer running System 7 or newer (system 7.1 recommended) -- 8 MB of RAM (16 MB recommended) -- CD-ROM -- Hard Disk with at least 70MB free * Macintosh with a 68020 or greater processor, or Power Macintosh PC requirements: --Pentium level processor is recommended although a 486 should be adequate. -- 8 MB of memory for use on Windows 95; 16 MB for use on Windows 98 or Windows NT Workstation. -- SVGA display (256 colors; 640 x 480 pixel resolution) required. -- Microsoft Windows 95, 98 or NT 4.0 -- A mouse -- CD-ROM drive, at least 2X or faster.
