Innovative Technologies in Formation of Writing Communication Skills of English as a Second

Abstract. The article deals with multiple internet resources aimed at improvement of college and
university students writing communication competencies in the English language. Wikis, blogs, Vlogs,
podcasts, vodcasts, Google Docs, ePals, and social networks are considered to be effective means to enhance
Sss confidence in using written English. Students can improve their writing competencies in two ways,
namely through posting comments and feedbacks on existing information products and creation of new texts.
Keywords: innovative technologies, learner-oriented approach, wiki, blog, social network, writing
competencies.
