Being part of the NYC
Medics team has changed my
life. Consistently our team has
been the first medical responders
to reach remote regions where
people were in dire need, saving
patients with life threatening
injuries. In Haiti, we treated over
200 people a day and truly
became part of their community,
healing their broken bones and
spirits.

Im forever greatful to be
part of this powerful organization
that saved so many and created
hope when there was none.

Our Story

Who We are

After working with disaster relief

agencies during the 2005 Pakistan
earthquake, it became evident that
there was a major gap in disaster relief
efforts.

Large relief agencies take
weeks to deploy, travled slowly and
leave dark spots on the map where
they will not travel because areas are
considered too remote or dangerous.

Becuase of these limitations,
thousands of people who desperately
needed aid receive barely any relief.
NYC Medics solves this problem through
its Mobile Medical Relief technique.

NYC Medics provides

the most efficient
and effective aid to
those effected by
catastrophes around
the world.

The NYC Medics Solution:

We are volunteer
medical and
administrative
professionals
dedicated to
providing superior
relief aid to
catastrophe
survivors.

Our missions

NYC Medics responded to the gap in relief

efforts by creating Mobile Medical Relief, a
system focused on reaching those who are
otherwise unreachable. Mobile Medical
Relief focuses on:

Responding first to catastrophes

Accessing dark spot areas by
whatever means necessary
Traveling light by supplementing with
resources from local communities
Providing life saving aid to victims
who otherwise would receive almost
nothing

NYC Medics worked out of Seyan,

Kashmir as the first western team in
the area treating over 400 patients
in the first 24 hours and at least 200
more every day after that.

Haiti Earthquake
2010

69 NYC Medics Volunteers

treated more than 12,000
patients in Port au Prince in
areas where other larger
NGOs would not go because
they were considered
to be dangerous.

Japan Earthquake
2011

NYC Medics Volunteers in

partnership with the Tokushukai
Medical Assistance Team led
lectures with local officials and
medical offices to teach about
relief efforts.

Phillipines Tsunami
2011

Through out the two-week

mission, NYC Medics cared for
over 2500 patients affected by
the typhoon.

The NYC Medics Team

In 2005 a devestating earthquake
struck Pakistan killing and injuring
thousands. In New york City, a group
of 10 paramedics struck by the need
for relief efforts took action and joined
together, traveling to Kashmir and
bringing medical relief to hundreds. Out
of these efforts NYC Medics was born.

Since then NYC Medics has
grown into the incredible organization
it is today. Currently, volunteer medical
professionals from around the country
have joined NYC Medics to become 1st
responders during global catastrophes.
