Dr. Harris is an excellent professor! She has demonstrated strong knowledge in the
field of SL education and she has always been quick to respond to students' questions
and concerns. Thank you, Dr. Harris, for all your dedication!!
Dr. Raychelle Harris is an intelligent and lovely woman. I enjoyed discussing with you
and the MA-SLED students. Otherwise, she should be giving us to fair on grading
because I feel her favorable to chose some students instead of me, i.e assessment
video.
Great course!
I felt that pushing back the entire schedule by 1-2 weeks was very generous in order to
let us finish our LIN510 final, although I thought it also interrupted our momentum for
this class and it was harder to stay on track after that.
I love the instructor's teaching method.
I really appreciate for this course that helps me observe my instructor and work on
improvements in our course. Thank you...
I suggest splitting the coding part of the Coding assignment up more somehow? I would
also suggest having it due a little earlier in the semester, since we also had the Unit
Plan due only two weeks after it. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the course.
I wish there were more time into this course. I felt it was that the coursed was pretty
compressed.
Our Time zone will meet our needs , suggest to create video in ASL to give his
presentation for our class, able to give us more feedback on our assignments, and able
to response soon

Spending 45 or more hours for practicum is an ideal. Spending time on the course work
is a distracting thing. Spending assignments is a lot of time to take up on. It does not
suit any assignments for practicum. These assignments are educable.
Suggested to have due dates visible on each assignment under grades section that way
I can follow up easily than looking at syllabus over and over. Just a tip! :)
While it was strange to observe a class considering my years of teaching and observing
experiences, I was so grateful to have taken that class as I learned lot more! Found it
very beneficial!

Dr, Raychelle Harris
Knowledge of material - Excellent!
She knows her stuff and does acknowledge something if she doesnt know the answer which is
a rare quality among college professors.
Washback with students for further comprehension and quality of work - CHAMP!!
She went beyond the typical expectation of how much feedback a teacher would provide. She
took the time to discuss every detail to make sure students comprehend the information
presented. Her feedback was also immediate as well.
Flexibility and understanding students issues - CHAMP!!
She cares about her students and she gives reasonable extensions when needed. She is firm
but flexible.
Overall quality of class instruction for students: CHAMP!!
The material and the style of instruction, she spend quantity of time producing everything that
she presented in class. Its more than expected.
Overall fairness on grading: excellent!
She provides excellent feedback to explain reason for grading and everything she commented
were fair and valid.
Willingness to meet with students to discuss further expectations of assignments, etc. CHAMP!
Shes flexible and available to answer questions via Facetime, Glide and emails. Her response
time has been within 12 hours which is excellent timing. Her door is always open!
Overall comment about Dr. Harris: Gallaudet University should be proud to employ such a
remarkable instructor in Dr. Harris. She demonstrated great concern and care for her students
progress in class and instills a high expectation for everyone to not just learn but to be involved
in the learning process with challenging and compelling discussions. I am proud to say that I
learned from her and will definitely take future courses with her. She should be commended for
her unselfishness in time and energy!!
