Dear Parents,
Another great week for all of us at the Nursery! The children are getting to know each
other, and its great to hear them call out each others name! As for the teachers,
many still call Ms Soma Mama
We also talked about appropriate behaviour in the nursery. Ms Soma and I acted out a
short skit yesterday where I was playing with some blocks and Ms Soma came to
knock them down. The children looked very upset and when I asked if this is
something we should do, they all shook their headjust the reaction we were hoping
for! We also talked about when to say please, thank you and sorry.
Our water play outside is a big hit, as expected. We will continue with it for as long as
the weather permits, and will be looking at ways to add more variety to keep the
children interested.
Here are a few updates and details of upcoming events
My Family. For next week, our topic will be My Family. Kindly bring in some photos
of your family beginning Monday. Please send in photos that clearly show the
members of your family as we will talk about them during our circle time (who is dad,
who is mom, do you have a brother, or a sister, etc). Also, if possible, please have
photos of your family doing different activities (swimming, on a holiday, at a
restaurant).
You can bring printed copies or send them electronically to
nursery@tisa.az and we can print them at the office. I would like to assure you that
all photos will only be used within the Nursery.
Back to School Evening. We invite all parents to come to our Back to School
Evening on Tuesday, 6 September, from 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. at the Nursery.
Come and see what we have done so far, learn about our upcoming events, and meet
other Nursery moms and dads. We look forwarding to seeing many of you there!
Art Exhibition. Thank you for bringing in your junk, and please keep them coming!
For the Art Exhibition, we will be making two art pieces: one will be done by our
Nursery children and the other will be in collaboration with the P3 visual art students
of Ms Eva. We hope to begin work next week, and I know it will be a thrill for all of us
to see the final product in November. I will share more details of the Art Exhibition as
the event draws near.
Nursery Homeroom Parents. Thank you Prathama (Sitaras mom) for volunteering
to be one of our Homeroom parents. We are looking for 2 or 3 homeroom parents so if
you too are interested, please see the sign-up sheet by our door.
Afternoon Club. This is going on well with a total of 16 children from the Nursery, P1
and P2. Please contact Ms. Farida if you wish your child to join the Afternoon Club.
Happy Birthday to Sofia who turned 2 today! Thank you for the cake, Sofia!
