Survey Summary:
After John Fasos decisive win in the recent competitive Republican Primary for Congress, he now holds a lead for
Congress as the general election begins. The results of our recently completed survey show that currently, the
th
voters in New Yorks 19 Congressional District are more likely to vote for a Republican over a Democrat in the
generic ballot for Congress (46% to 42%), and they also favor John Faso over Zephyr Teachout in the general
election ballot for Congress. Faso captures the plurality of the vote, 46%, while Teachout trails with 41%, and 14%
are undecided.

Methodology:
This poll of 400 likely general election voters in New York Congressional District 19, was conducted from August
th

8 , 2016 through August 10 , 2016.
All interviews were conducted via telephone by professional interviewers. Interview selection was random within
predetermined election units. 97 interviews (24%) were completed on cell-phones. These samples were then
combined and structured to correlate with actual voter turnout in a general election.
This poll of 400 likely general election voters in New York Congressional District 19, has an accuracy of +/- 4.9% at
a 95% confidence interval.
