1.2EnrollmentFaceExpressions
Duringtheenrollment,positionyourheadsuchwaythatyourfaceappearsin
thecenterofthedevicedisplaywindow,andfollowthevoiceprompts"Focus
eyesinsidethegreenbox".Theuserneedstomove forward andbackwardto
adjust the eyes position during the face registration. The enrollment face
expressionsasfollows:

Recommendedfingers:Theindexfinger,middlefingerortheringfingeris
recommended the thumb and little finger are not recommended (because

1.4UseoftheTouchScreen
Touchthe screen with one of yourfingertipsor theedgeof afingernail, as
showninthefollowingfigure.Abroadpointofcontactmayleadtoinaccurate
pointing.

When the touch screen is less sensitive to the touch, you can perform a
screen calibration through the following menu operations. Press [Menu] >
[AutoTest]>[Calibration]onthescreenandacrossiconwillbedisplayed.
Afteryoutouchthecenterofthecrossatfivelocationsonthescreencorrectly,
thesystemwillautomaticallyreturnstotheAutoTestmenu.Press[Exit]to
returntothe Menuinterface.Fordetails,seethedescriptionin 9.AutoTest.
Smearordustonthetouchscreenmayaffecttheperformanceofthetouch
screen.Therefore,trytokeepthescreencleananddustfree.

1. Enter numbers: Press the [User ID] key. The system will automatically
displaythenumberinputinterface.AfterenteringtheuserID,press[OK]to
saveorpress[X]tocancelandreturntothepreviousinterface.

2. Enter Text: Pressthe[Name] key.The system will automatically display


thetextinputinterface.Afterenteringtheusername,press[X]tosaveand
returntothepreviousinterface.

3. Modify parameters: Press the default value of a parameter and the


systemwillautomaticallyswitchtoanothervalueofthisparameter.

1.8VerificationModes
1.8.1FingerprintVerification
1.1:Nfingerprintverification
The terminal compares current fingerprint collected by the fingerprint
collectorwithallfingerprintdataontheterminal.
(1) To enter the fingerprint verification mode. The device automatically
distinguishes face and fingerprint verification, just pressing finger on the
collector.Shallbefingerprintauthenticationmode.
(2)Pressyourfingeronthefingerprintsensorbyadoptingtheproperfinger
placement.Fordetails,see 1.3FingerPlacement.
(3)Iftheverificationissuccessful,thedevicewillpromptVerified.
(4) Iftheverificationisnotsuccessful,thedevice willpromptPleasetryagain.

2.1:1fingerprintverification
In the 1:1 fingerprint verification mode, the device compares current
fingerprintcollectedthroughthefingerprintsensorwiththatinrelationtothe
userIDenteredthrough the keyboard.Adoptthismodeonlywhenitisdifficult
torecognizethefingerprint.

(1) Press [1:1] on the screen or [1:1] button to enter the 1:1 fingerprint
recognitionmode.
(2)EnterUserIDorGroupNo.,thenpressthe"Fingerprinticontoenterthe
1:1 fingerprint recognition mode. If the prompt Unregistered user! is
displayed,theuserIDdoesnotexist.
(3)Pressyourfingeronthefingerprintsensorbyadoptingtheproperfinger
placement.Fordetails,see 1.3FingerPlacement.
(4)Iftheverificationissuccessful,thedevicewillpromptVerified,otherwise
thedevicewillpromptPleasetryagain.

1.8.2FaceVerification
1.1:NFaceVerification
Theterminalcomparescurrentfaceimagecollectedby
thecamerawithallfacedataontheterminal.
(1) The device automatically distinguishes face and
fingerprintverification.

Comparison of interface display the current image
collected by the camera, an interface as shown in
Figure1ontherightwillbedisplayed.
(3) If the verification is successful, an interface as
showninFigure2ontherightwillbedisplayed.

2.1:1faceverification
Inthe1:1faceverificationmode,thedevicecompares
current face collected through the camera with that in
relationtotheuserIDenteredthroughthekeyboard.
Adoptthismodeonlywhenitisdifficulttorecognize
theface.
(1)Press[1:1]onthescreenbuttontoenterthe1:1
recognitionmode.
(2) Enter User ID, then press the "1:1 Face" icon to
enter 1:1 face recognition mode. If the prompt
"Unregistereduser!"isdisplayed,theuserIDdoesnot
exist.

(3)Comparethefaceinaproperway.Fordetails,see 1.1StandingPosition,
PostureandFaceExpressions.

(4)Iftheverificationissuccessful,thedevicewillprompt"Verified".Thesystem
willreturntothemaininterfaceiftheverificationisnotpassedwithin20seconds.

3.1:GFaceVerification
When you open the 1: G Verify function, then you can make 1: G facial
verification. For detail please see 6.5 Log Settings.
Current group No. (Valid group number is 15) is
displayedonthefacialrecognition interface. Usersin
current group can perform facial comparison directly.
Usersofanothergroupcanperformfacialcomparison
only after enteringthe group No. or selecting it using
the shortcut key. And the system will set the group
entered or selected by users to be the current group
instantly.
(1) Press [1:1/1: G] on the screen to enter the 1: G
recognitionmode.

Face group function is untapped by Factory default,
users can set in SystemLog Settings1: G Verify

1.8.3PasswordVerification
In the password verification mode, the device
comparesthepasswordenteredwiththatinrelationto
theuserID.
1.Press[1:1]onthescreenor[1:1]buttontoenterthepasswordverification

mode.
2. Enterthe userID andthen press the "Keyiconto enterthepassword
verificationmode.IfthepromptUnregistereduser!isdisplayed,theuserID
doesnotexist.
3. Enter the password and press the OK icon to start the password
comparison.
4.Iftheverificationissuccessful,thedevicewillpromptVerified,otherwise
thedevicewillpromptVerifyfailandreturntopasswordinputinterface.

1.8.4IDCardVerification
Only the products with a builtin ID card module support the ID card
verification.TheproductswithabuiltinIDcardmodulesupportthefollowing
twoverificationmodes:
IDCardOnly:UsersonlyneedtoswipetheirIDcardsforverification.
ID+FacialVerification:AfterpassingtheIDcardverification,youalsoneed
toperformfacialverification.

shown in Figure 3 on the right will be displayed. The
systemwillreturntothemaininterfaceiftheverification

Here is the combination verification operation we will use the FACE&FP


verificationforanexample.
If you verify the fingerprint first and then the face, the operations are as
follows.
1. The default main interface is the fingerprint verification mode, see the
figurebelow.
2. Pressyourfinger onthe fingerprintsensorby adoptingthe properfinger
placement.Fordetails,see 1.3FingerPlacement.

3. Iftheverificationissuccessful,thedevice willenterthe1:1face recognition


mode. Compare the face in a proper way. For details, see 1.1 Standing
Position,PostureandFaceExpressions.

4. If the verification is successful, the device will prompt Verified. The


systemwillreturntothemaininterfaceiftheverificationisnotpassedwithin
20seconds.
Otherwise,theFACE&FPcombinationverificationcanperformsuchasFACE
(1: N) +FP,PIN+ FACE (1:1)+ FP,PIN +FP (1:1) + FACEetc.Theoperation
issimilartotheprocedureintroducedbefore.

2.MainMenu
Therearetwotypesofrightsrespectivelygrantedtotwotypesofusers:the
Ordinary users and administrators. Ordinary users are only granted the
rightsofface,fingerprint,passwordorcardverification,whileadministrators
are granted access to the main menu for various operations apart from
havingalltheprivilegesgrantedtoordinaryusers.
Press[Menu]ontheinitialinterfacetoaccessthemainmenu,asshownin
thefollowingfigure:

Themainmenu includesninesubmenus:
Add User: Through this submenu, you can add a new user and input the
informationonthedevice,includingtheuserID,name,fingerprint,face,
card,password,rights,groupNo. anduseraccess.

User Mgt.: Through this submenu, you can browse the user information
storedonthedevice,includingtheuserID,name,fingerprint,face,card,

password, rights, group No. and user access. Here you can also add,
modifyordeleteausersinformation.

Comm.: Through this submenu, you can set related parameters for
communication between the device and PC, including the IP address,
gateway, subnet mask, baud rate, device No. and communication
password.

System: Through this submenu, you can set systemrelated parameters,


includingthebasicparameters,interfaceparameters,fingerprint,faceand
attendance parameters, Keyboard definitions, Access settings, firmware
update etc. to enable the device to meet the users requirements to the
greatestextentintermsoffunctionalityanddisplay.

Data Mgt.: Through this submenu, you can perform management of data
storedonthedevice,forexample,deletingtheattendancerecords,alldata,
clearadministrator,restoretofactorysettingsandqueryrecords.

Date/Time:Throughthissubmenu,youcansetthealarmtimeandduration,
orsettheBell.

AutoTest:Thissubmenuenablesthesystemtoautomaticallytestwhether
functionsofvariousmodulesarenormal,includingthescreen,sensor,voice,
face,keyboard,clocktestsandscreencalibration.

Dn/Upload:Throughthissubmenu,youcandownloaduserinformationand
attendancedatastoredinthedevicethroughaUSBdisktorelatedsoftware
orotherfingerprintrecognitionequipment.

2.MainMenu

Sys Info.: Through this submenu, you can browse the records and device
information.

Anyusercanaccessthemainmenubypressingthe[Menu]keyif
the system does not have an administrator. After administrators are
configuredonthedevice,thedeviceneedstoverifytheadministrators
identity beforegrantingthemaccessto themainmenu.Toensure device
security, it is recommended to set an administrator when using the
terminalinitially.Fordetailedoperations,see3.8ModifyingUserRight.

Press [Add]onthe [User Mgt.]interface to displaythe
[AddUser]interfaceasshownbelow.
User ID: Enter a user ID. 1 to 9 digits user IDs are
supportedbydefault.
Name: Enter a user name. 12 characters user names
aresupportedbydefault.
Fingerprint:Enrollausersfingerprintandthedevice
displaysthenumberofenrolledfingerprints.Ausercan
enroll10fingerprintsatmaximum.
Password:Enrollauserspassword.Thedevicesupports
18 digit passwordsbydefault.
Face:Enrollausersface.
GroupNo.:Settinginthegroupofuser.
Role:Settherightsofauser.Auserissettoordinary
user by default and can also be set toadministrator.
Ordinary users are only granted the rights of face,
fingerprintorpasswordverification,whileadministrators
are granted access to the main menu for various
operationsapartfromhavingalltheprivilegesgrantedto
ordinaryusers.

3.1EnteringaUserID
ThedeviceautomaticallyallocatesanIDstartingfrom
1 for every user in sequence. If you use the ID
allocatedbythedevice,youmayskipthissection.
1. Press [User ID] on the [Add User] interface to
displaytheuserIDmanagementinterface.

? Tip:TheuserIDcanbemodifiedduringinitial
enrollment, but once enrolled, it cannot be
modified.
2.Onthedisplayedkeyboardinterface,enterauserID
and press[OK]. Ifthemessage The user ID already
exists!isdisplayed,enteranotherID.

? Tip:Thedevicesupports1to9digitsuserIDs
by default. If you need to extend the length of
current user ID numbers, please consult our
commercialrepresentativesortechnicalpresales.
3.AftertheuserIDisentered,press[Save]tosave the
currentinformationandreturntothepreviousinterface.
Press[Exit] toreturnto the previousinterface without
savingthecurrentinformation.

UseT9inputmethodtoentertheusernamethrough
thekeyboard.
1. Press [Name] on the [Add User] interface to
displaythenameinputinterface.
2.Onthedisplayedkeyboardinterface,enterauser
nameandpress[X].
For details of operations on the keyboard interface,
see 12.1T9InputInstructions.
3. After the user name is entered, press [Save] to
save the current information and return to the
previous interface. Press [Exit] to return to the previous interface without
savingthecurrentinformation.

?Tip:Thedevicesupportsthe1to12charactersnamesbydefault.

3.3EnrollingaFingerprint
1. Press [Fingerprint] on the [Add User] interface to
displaythe[EnrollFingerprint]interface.
2. On the displayed [Enroll Fingerprint] interface,
place your finger on the fingerprint sensor properly
accordingtothesystemprompt.Fordetails,see 1.3
FingerPlacement.
3.Placethesamefingeronthefingerprintsensorfor
three consecutive times correctly. If the enrollment
succeeds,thesystemwilldisplayapromptmessage
andautomaticallyreturntothe[AddUser]interface.If
theenrollmentfails,thesystemwilldisplayapromptmessageandreturnto
the [Enroll Fingerprint] interface. In this case, you need to repeat the
operationsofstep2.
4. You can enroll the backup fingerprint by pressing [Fingerprint] again. A
usercanenroll10fingerprintsatmaximum.
5. Press [Save] to save the current information and return to the previous
interface. Press [Exit] to return to the previous interface without saving the
currentinformation.

Available WLANs around a mobile phone can be searched. Select
Available WLAN to enter the Available WLAN interface and click

As shown in the third of the preceding figures, a user can search its
wireless route and set a password. For other settings, see the "WIFI

Access control settings are to set users open door
time zone, control lock and set related device
parameters.It is not enabled by factory default, you
canclick[MENU][System][Display][Enableaccess],
selectYESorNO.
To unlock, the enrolled user must accord with the
followingconditions:
1.Thecurrentunlocktimeshouldbeintheeffective
timeof theusertimezoneorgroupzone.
2. The group where the user is must be in access
control (or in the same access control with other group, to open the door
together).

Time zone is the minimum unit of access control
option. The whole systemcandefine 50time zones.
Everytimezoneconsistsofseventimesections(that
is,oneweek).Everytimesectionistheeffectivetime
zonewithin24hourseveryday.Everyusercanset3
time zones. Its or between the three zones. It is
effective if only one is satisfied. Every time section
format is HH:MMHH:MM, namely, accurate to
minute.
If end time is smaller than start time (23:57 23:56),
thewholedayisforbidden.Ifendtimeisbiggerthanstarttime(00:0023:59),
itiseffectivesection.
Effectivetimezoneforuserunlocking:00:0023:59orendtimeisbiggerthan

timeperiod,yesterday,thisweek,lastweek,thismonth,lastmonth,andall
timeperiods.
StartandEnd:Whenyouselectacustomizedtimeperiod,youneedtoinput
a start time and an end time. When you select other options for the time
period, the start and end time will be automatically adjusted to the related
time.
After setting the queryconditions,press[Query]andthe records thatmeet

Short messages are similar to announcements and notices. Operators can
writeashortmessageaccordingtothecontentstobeannouncedinadvance,
and display the short message on the screen during a designated period.
Shortmessagesareclassifiedintopublicandpersonalshortmessages.Ifa
shortmessage is configured as public,it will be automatically displayed on
the minutes within a designated period alternatively, users can use the
shortcut keys (can be set in the keyboard definition) to view it. If a short

TFT display by displayingfullcolor, pure white and pure black and checks

The Photo ID function is used to display the photo
enrolled by a user or stored in a USB disk on the
screeninadditiontosuchinformationastheuserID

2.TouseaphotostoredinaUSBdisk,proceedas
