Product Description
The Saluyot Veggie noodles is a unique noodles and will give a unique taste that will
surely patronize and well- accepted by all classes of consumer, have desirable green color and
have no distinguishable odor and difference in texture compared with regular noodles. : Canton
Noodles with Saluyot is a -carotene rich noodle prepared from a blend of wheat flour, saluyot
puree, salt, and egg and noodle improver. It is green in color and a 50 g serving will provide
15%, 18% and 36% of the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) for energy, protein and
vitamin A respectively of 4-6 year-old children.
This product can be cooked similar to that of the commercially available noodle products.
MARKET POTENTIAL: Noodle products are popular among Filipinos and other Asian
nationals. The noodles with saluyot may also be a potential export product to Japan, China and
other countries due to its uniqueness, good nutritional quality and sensory attributes. The
increasing awareness of consumers on nutritious food products will surely make this noodle a
leading product in the market. The technology and production is simple and require locally
fabricated equipment. Hence, saluyot leaves is very nutritious being rich with vitamins and
minerals generally promotes good health and well-being. According to the study conducted by
Department of Biochemistry and Nutrition that aside from being rich in vitamins and minerals
saluyot can be used as treatment e.g. inflammation and pain such as arthritis, headache, and
stomach ache. Saluyot being rich in fiber it helps control blood pressure, cholesterol build-up,
diabetes and prevent heart disease as well as being rich in vitamin A that can provide health
benefits for good eyesight.
Saluyot can be cure for many diseases, this will be a factor that will influence costumer to
buy our product in response to prevailing nutritional problems in our country, costumers may
become more health conscious and aware of eating healthy is one key contributing factor in
staying health which can lead long life.

As outlined earlier, this business venture will seek to produce unique products on local
market, using a vegetables which consumed by many throughout the region. This venture will
create employment for our citizens.

Market Description

The Veggie Noodles Manufacturing potential market are the wholesalers in Tacloban City
and nearby Cities and Municipalities. The business will be focusing in Tacloban City hence it is
the center of commerce, trade and industry in Eastern Visayas. Another reason is the majority of
the proponents are living in Tacloban City.

The market coverage of the business is on Tacloban City, it is located in Marasbaras,


Tacloban City, but it can also serve to another people which came from nearby cities and
municipalities.
The target market of the business is for those who are vegetable noodle lovers and haters.
Then for those who are health conscious whose ages 3 years old and above and for those who
maintain their healthy lifestyle.

manufactured by a business unit and helps in adjusting and adapting such influence. An analysis

This tabulated data above illustrates further that the historical demand of noodles in the
five years from 2011 to 2015 significantly increases. The table is divided into three supermarkets

namely, Robinsons Supermarket, Gaisano Central and Gaisano Capital. Each of the supermarket
offers different kind of noodles that is divided into three which are the Diamond Pancit Canton,
Golden Stick and Shrimp Pancit Canton.
In the year 2011, noodles related products business accumulated a total of 5,242, and
continued to increase after two years in operation, then a super typhoon hit the city on 2013, it
decreases to 17.35%. Since 2014 the basis of its growth were based on 2013. Of all the
supermarkets in Tacloban City, Robinsons Supermarket are the most visited by its customers.
Since Filipinos love to eat. Most people try to buy something that is best anytime
of the day. People can make it a snack and stress relieving food. And it brings many health
benefits that most of the people are looking for.

projected as a basis number of demand to be fulfilled. The tabulated data shows that within the
span of five years 19% of veggie noodles ascending increase of demand as shown in the table
shows that there is increase of veggie noodles business in the market.

Supply

Supply refers to the total amount of a service available for obtaining at any
specified price. Supply is determined by: (1) Price: producers will try to obtain the highest
possible price whereas the buyers will try to pay the lowest possible price both settling at the
equilibrium price where supply equals demand. (2) Cost of inputs: the lower the input price the
higher the profit at a price level and more services will be offered at that price. (3) Price of other
goods/services: lower prices of competing goods/services will reduce the price and the supplier
may switch to switch to more profitable products thus reducing the supply.
The Veggie Manufacturing will supply clients through region. Based on the data gathered
by the proponents it shows that the supply of such service is needed to sustain the demand of
customers that is increasing every year because other business cannot cater the demand of the
clients.

The table 4 shows the historical supply of noodles related products that is show from
2011 up to 2015 with the total of 1, 800 in 2011, 2, 545 in 2012, 2, 834 in 2013, 3, 120 in 2014
and 3, 970 in 2015. It is based in the conducted interview in the three supermarket in Tacloban
City.
The growth of supply each year held by supporting the increase of demand in the
marketplace. Since the supply cannot cater the demand of its client, issues of inadequate supply
in the market arise, it gives burden and slow movement of supply to the jam business as needed
by the customer.

canteens, stores and supermarkets.

be focusing in Tacloban City hence it is the center of commerce, trade and industry in Eastern
Visayas.

proponent choose this area for their proposed project because it is accessible to the sources of
electricity, water and communication, making it easier for transporting supplies and segregating
the waste. And costumers will find it easy to locate the production site.
Veggie Noodles manufacturing business will have all of its permit and licenses from the
government agencies of Tacloban City to ratify the operation of the business.

Name and Form of Business Organization
The name of the business is Veggie Manufacturing Production. The word VEGGIE
means vegetable wherein it easy for the final consumer to remember and patronize the product of
the said business.
Veggie manufacturing production will be in the form of general partnership business
organization composed of two general partners, to contribute equally in terms of money, property
and industry with intention equally dividing the profit and loss among them.
In the operation and business activities of the entity, all partners are held liable to their specific
obligations and responsibility to form such task.

Nature of Business

The business will be categorized under manufacturing business because it will be engaged
in the production and distribution of Veggielicious Noodles in the Tacloban City and nearby
cities and municipalities in satisfying and patronizing the needs of final consumers.

Organizing and Forming the Business


Organizing and forming a business is a systematic procedure fully qualified the business
before starting to perform a function on particular process.

The following are the procedures of business organization registration:

1. Securing Mayors Business Permit


a.

Secure the Brgy. Clearance from the office of the Brgy. Captain where the
business is to be set up.

b.

Proceed to the Business Permits Licensing Division (BPLD) of the City of


Tacloban and secure an application for the business permit and license.

c. Secure location clearance from the City of Tacloban in office of Planning and
development to determine if the business activity is permissible in the zone.
d. Secure electric endorsement for electrical division of the department of
Engineering to determine if the business establishment is not high risk.
e. Secure the fire safety inspection certificate from the City Fire Department to
determine if the business premises comply with all the requirements of the
building code.

a. Verification and reservation of the proposed Partnership name at the Security and
Exchange Commission (SEC). Once the name is accepted, the SEC will issue name
verification slip.
b. Accomplished Registration Data Sheet with the following attachment.
1. Articles of Partnership that defines the right, power and duties of each
partner, the profit/loss allocation and partners contribution. If the capital is the form of property
additional requirements is needed.
2. Deed of assignment executed by the partners.
c. File the complete documents with the SEC upon payment of the requirements
and other filling fees.
5. Registration procedure with the Social Security System (SSS)
a. Proceed to the Marketing and Enforcement Division of the concerned SSS branch office
and request form a copy of the Membership/Remittance form.
b. Accomplish and submit two (2) copies of the MMRF together with the supporting
documents duly signed by the corresponding office to Marketing and Enforcement
