Dear Friend,
Greetings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, and from
everyone at our church. The Lord is moving by His Spirit and I am so glad to
be a part of the family of God!
There is a very familiar verse of Scripture that says, "For God so loved
the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in
Him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). His love is
rich, pure, and vast beyond compare. It reaches higher than the highest
heavens, and goes deeper than the lowest hell. No matter what condition you
find yourself in, God's love is always abiding!
Love is an action word. God's love always gives. It doesn't wait to receive
before it swings into action. Because He so loved our world, He gave heaven's
best, Jesus Christ. Long before you and I were ever born, God already loved us.
I remember when my wife was pregnant with our children she would say, "I
haven't met this baby yet, but I already love her!" God so loved our world that
He gave His all so we would have life. Love prepares a welcoming place. Love
will set your life in divine order. A child can do without a lot of things but will
go to the ends of the earth to find love. It is a part of us that will never be
satisfied until the real is expressed. Jesus Christ is the expression of God's love
toward humanity.
John 3:16 gives the reason for why God sent His Son to the earth: He so
loved the world! The word "world" in the original means orderly arrangement,
or the world, including the inhabitants. When God made the heavens and the
earth, He did this with you in mind! You are included in all His creation! He
adorned the world with the gift of His Son. Though Jesus was the only begotten
of the Father, we are adopted and given the privilege of becoming His sons and
daughters by faith. Your faith is extremely important. Saving faith only works
by love. He loves us and thoughtfully chose you and me out of this world,
loving us as individuals so much He desired us to be a part of His family by
faith.

Examples of this are found in 2 chapters of the Gospel of Luke. A certain

woman went to the temple in Jesus' day, and the Bible says that when the Lord
saw her He called her to Him. She had been bowed with an infirmity for 18
years and could not lift herself up. When He called her, He laid His hand on her
and said to her, "Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity." She was
immediately made straight and glorified God. He went on to call her a
"daughter of Abraham," in verse 16, because she came to the service with
faith in God. All she needed was to hear the words of Jesus, for they are life.
Another man, who had a desire to see Jesus, ran ahead of the crowd that
was around the Lord. He was short so he couldn't see over the people. He found
a tree and climbed it because the Lord was passing that way. Now that is desire
to see the Lord! When Jesus came to the place, He looked up, and said to him,
"Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for today I must abide at thy
house." Well, everyone was upset because this man was a tax collector for the
Roman Empire. He wasn't liked by the people, but the Lord saw his faith. Jesus
said to everyone there, "This day is salvation come to this house, forasmuch
as he is also a son of Abraham. For the Son of man is come to seek and to
save that which was lost." Are you feeling lost? The Lord Jesus is come to
seek and to save you! It doesn't matter if others don't accept you in their circles.
That never stopped the Lord from coming to people. He is looking for those
who have faith. Faith in God can change your circumstances. Faith in God can
bring a miracle into your life. Faith can heal your marriage. It can calm the
stormy sea. It can reconcile families. Faith in God can do the impossible!
Several years ago a couple came to our church. They were about to retire to
South Carolina and they asked for prayer for their youngest daughter. They
hadn't heard from her for several years. We prayed for them at our altar. Within
3 weeks, their daughter contacted them! The Lord answered prayer
miraculously! The last I heard to this day they are still in touch often. God can
change the situation in your life. All you need is faith in Him who loves you!
Faith still works by love. God so loves your world He has a gift for you: eternal
life through Jesus Christ our Lord! His love is everlasting, incorruptible and
pure. It is boundless, filling the heavens and the earth. There is no experience
that can compare to His love! Open your heart and let him in today. You will
never be the same!
