Cell Towards the New Nomenclature

Introduction
Cell, the most diversified biological entity of the universe and one of the most frequent word use
in scientific as well as non-scientific society.
The functional and structural unit of all living systems, which carry the nano-factories in them.
In 1665, Robert Hook, first observe the hollow space in the cork of wood and introduce the term
Cell. Cell term is taken fron the latin term cella which means A Hollow Space or Sac. The
structure which he observed was hollow or spacious, there is nothing in it.
In this nomenclature, there is a quick and an important edition is required. The cell is not the
accurate or precise word of that biological entity for which it is using for. Now we have to move
on from this dilemma. We have to look forward for the new term in this context & try to make it
universally accepted.
The term cell is not describing that biological entity for which it is designated for. The
scientific society is upgrading every second, new approaches performing every minute, we
pointing out many new function day by day, obsolete and inappropriate vocabulary are
eliminating for example if talk about the a bacterium of genus campylobacter, species
campylobacter pylori, because they are differed with other campylobacter, they redesignated as
Helicobacter pylori, but if we talk on the nomenclature of cell, we have a half meaning word.
The aim of this paper is to make the people aware that the terminology which we are using to
describe the biological unit may not be precise sometime. So, we point that under eligible
terminology or nomenclature that is sometimes unpredictable.
In this context, I would like to present my suggestion for new nomenclature of that entity which
we are calling cell. If we study the word cell in detail regarding to the terminology, then we find
many discrepancies related to its meaning like
The term cell is meaning is a hollow body which is not able to move and replicate,
whereas the cell is a highly reproductive body and frequently motile. This major contradictory
indication indicates that there is a quick need to look after this suggestion on review the
nomenclature.
For further elaboration in this literature, I would also like to suggest a term which might be
useful in this consequence.
I would like to introduce a new term Hollowzoid

If we have a look on this term we found-

Hollow

Spaceous

Zoid

----

A biological entity which is able to reproduce and

often motile.

Majority of the biological entities are motile with different modes except Viruses, but as in
biology which is also known as the science of exception, there is always an exception present
hence here also. But the viruses also fulfill the criteria because they also replicates.
Hollowzoid might be the term after the cell. Hollowzoid fulfills all the criteria and one of the the
most suitable word among Hollowcrux, Hollowzoid, Cellacrux, Cellazoid and Alveuszoid.
Might be none of these word are acceptable but thing is that, the cell is not the perfect
terminology to describe that biological entity this should be received in top order priority by the
society or by the committee. This might open the new debate in the world of cell.
