The Mission art show

Youth and Family Services of Blaine, Canadian, and Kingfisher counties announces a call for entries to “The Mission,” an annual juried
exhibition and fundraiser. The 2010 show will be held at the Norick Art Center on the Oklahoma City University campus, August 13-14.

Youth and Family Services seeks to make a difference in the lives of young people through increased confidence, supporting family life,
and furthering community. From counseling to temporary residential services, YFS offers a variety of services for troubled youth and their
families.

Theme: Works associated with children, youth, family, and community are encouraged but not required; however, all submissions should
be consistent with the values and mission of Youth and Family Services and be appropriate for all audiences.

Media: All media, 2-D and 3-D are welcome. Entered artwork must be original, professionally presented, and prepared for installation (i.e.,
framed as appropriate).

Eligibility: This show is open to all artists aged 18 and older.

Entry Fee: Artists may enter up to five pieces with a total entry fee of $10. Please make checks payable to Youth and Family Services.

Sales: All artwork included in the exhibition must be available for sale. Youth and Family Services will retain a 50% commission of sales
that will be used for their programmatic budget. The artist will receive the remaining 50%. Any checks issued will be mailed within one
month of the exhibit.

Delivery and Return: Details on process and labeling of artwork will be provided with acceptance notification. Acceptance notifications
will be delivered via email or postal service by July 16.

Entry Procedure: Artists must submit all entries with one image of each 2-D piece and two images for each 3-D piece. Completed entry
form must be included with images. Submitted images must be in digital format on CD (no slides) in JPEG, RGB color space, and no larger
than 2 MB, and each file must be titled with the artist's name and corresponding entry number (e.g., John Doe1).

Artists must include a brief artist bio which will be included in the exhibition catalog if her/his artwork is selected for the show.

All notifications about inclusion in the exhibit will be made via email, unless email address is not available. Artists who request their CD to
be returned must include a self-addressed, sufficiently stamped envelope large enough for materials to be returned.

By submitting artwork, an artist accepts that images of artwork may be used for promotional and/or educational purposes related to the
exhibit alone. Furthermore, by submitting to this exhibit, an artist agrees to the following:
• timely delivery of artwork
• attending the artist reception on August 13, 6-8 p.m.
• timely retrieval of artwork
