Lesson 3: The Language of Faith

Lesson 3: The Language of Faith

Introduction:
In this modern time, when everything is justified by science, people become
more critical of things that are unseen. They question the existence of magic,
of myths, and worse, of the One who created us. They wanted to explain the
spiritual things, which are unfathomable by a carnal mind. But reality check,
the doctrine that says God doesnt exist is an illusion of Satan, Lucifer the
Devil to hide us the truth.
Reinforcement:

Lesson for today: Have faith

Activity: Make a maze using chairs with paths where

they can climb, crawl, or walk sideward.

Take a volunteer and blindfold him to act as a blind

man. Divide the attendees into two groups. The
"helpers" will be at the left, while the "distracters" will
stay at the right. The helpers will render the correct
instructions while the volunteer is going through the
maze; while the distracters will give erroneous
directions to confuse the volunteer.

Remember When we seek God, we must seek Him

by faith and we must believe in what He says.

I- What is faith?

Lesson 3: The Language of Faith

Faith is the language of believing that when God says it, it will surely
come to pass. (Matthew 19:26)
Faith is to believe in Gods Words knowing that He cannot lie and that
He is the truth.
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence things not
seen. Hebrews 11:1
Faith is our connection and relationship to our Creator; it is our means
to communicate to our Almighty Father.
Faith is a most powerful sense but was taken away from us by our
souls enemy.
Fast Fact:
In the beginning, God created us with six senses but
when our first parents, Adam and Eve were deceived
by the devil through the serpent, we also inherited
the sin of disobedience which the two had committed.
The most essential among our six senses was taken
away from usthis is our sense of faith. The devil
knew this, thus, he said, You can keep the other five
senses so you can still be in contact with the physical
world; what is important is that I will cut off your
connection to the Almighty Father. This was the
devils mission when he tempted Adam and Eve and
he was successful in doing this when the two
disobeyed the Almighty Fathers order by eating the
forbidden fruit.

II-Proof that our sense of faith was cut

If you try to talk to people that you meet about God, most of them will
ignore you and brand you crazy. But if you talk about business or money,
everybody will sit down and listen.
Some people dont believe in God; their five senses say, Before I
believe, I must first see it.
o
Thought to ponder:
Have you seen the wind? We have not seen it but we are

very sure that the unseen presence of the wind is there.

Lesson 3: The Language of Faith

Have you seen the electricity? We have seen the wires but
we have not seen the electricity but we are sure it is there
because our television, computer, bulbs are working.
Have you seen your brain? We have not seen it but we
know it is there because we are capable of thinking and
functioning.

III- How does the Almighty Father feel if we lose our faith?

Without faith it is impossible to please Him: for He that cometh to God

must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently
seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6)

IV-How do we restore our faith?

Faith is imputed in us as we listen to His words. Romans 10:17 says, . .

. faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

V- Faith at Work

Jesus commanded Peter to let down the net for a catch. All their nets
were filled with so much fish that they almost broke the net. They had to
call their partners in the other ship to help them. (Luke 5:4-5)
When the Father told Abraham, Abraham, next year at this season, at
this time, at this month, you will have a son. And he and his wife Sarah
were both old and well-stricken in age. When she heard God speak that
she would have a son, she laughed.

Abraham, unlike Sarah, did not stagger in the promises of God. He

believed in what God said even if it was contrary to the circumstances
and situations he was in, and thus Isaac was given to them.

Herod ordered the imprisonment of Peter and while he was detained,

the church people prayed for his release. Soon enough, their prayer was
answered. The Lord from heaven displaced an angel into the prison
where Peter was and the angel, through the power that God had given
unto him, released Peter. The chains that bound him fell down all by
themselves. All of a sudden, the iron gates just opened before him. The
angel led the way and when they reached a street, it departed. Peter
went to the house where people were praying for him. He knocked on

the door and one of the maids, Rhoda, came. She recognized Peters
voice but she did not open the door right away; instead, she ran in and
told her companions about what happened. They told her that it was
probably Peters angel. When they opened the door, they were
astonished to find out that it was indeed Peter. (Acts 12:1-6)
VI- How did this miracle come to be?

It came from the simple faith that when we believe in Gods Words,
contrary to the circumstances and situation that we are in, the Lord is
going to honor us.
If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this
mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and
nothing shall be impossible unto you. (Matthew 17:20)
Nothing is going to be impossible to those that believeth. According to
your faith, it shall be done unto us. Believe in God when He said, Ask,
and it shall be given unto you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall
be opened unto you. (Matthew 7:7)

VII- What did the Begotten Son say about the skeptics like Thomas?

Many believers today have faith in the Lord but it is only in their
mouths, in reality, they do not really believe in Him. Sometimes, when
we pray for something and when God answers us, we do not believe it.
What do we say? I cannot believe it! We do not say those words
when we deal with God. We have to believe it that it is true!
The Begotten Son said to Thomas, Thomas, because thou hast seen
me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet
have believed. (John 20:24-30)

Conclusion:
The only thing the devil can attack in us is our faith. If we have faith, he
knows we can never be defeated because faith is power and power equals
authority. When we have faith, we have authority and when we have
authority, we have power. We have the authority to command things to come
and they will come. We have the authority to let things leave and they will
leave. He said that If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall
say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove;
and nothing shall be impossible unto you. (Matthew 17:20)
