3D Phase Measurement A patented technology that uses


projected line patterns and phase-shift analysis to compute a 3D
point cloud. Eliminates tip changes by providing a high-quality,
full-screen image for general inspection with measurement on
demand. Available on 6.1mm diameter probes.
3D Stereo Measurement Combines a patented stereoscopic
optical design with proprietary processing algorithms to compute a
3D point cloud. View video image and measurement side-by-side.
Available on 4mm, 6.1mm or 8.4mm diameter probes.

a 3D Point Cloud
Measuring a 2D image with traditional stereo or shadow measurement
can lead to costly mistakes. 3D phase and stereo measurement,
available only on GEs Mentor Visual iQ, calculates a full 3D map of a
surface called a 3D point cloud. The 3D point cloud, along with cursor
positions, can be rotated and evaluated from multiple perspectives
leading to fewer mistakes and better decision making.
