Happy Tooth

Pillow

Materials:
Worsted weight yarn in white or
cream approx. 50 grams
Worsted weight yarn in red &
blue small amount
Crochet hook size F (3.75 mm)

Stuffing
7.5mm safety eyes (2)
Finished size: approx. 6 x 6
No specific gauge is required, however
work tightly for best results.
Pillow:
Rnd 1: Beginning at top of tooth, ch 16,
sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch
across. Continuing to work in
remaining loops of foundation chain
along opposite side, sc in next 15 lps.
(30 sc)
Do not join at end of rnd, but work
continuously in rnds.
Rnd 2: (2 sc in next 2 sc, sc in next 11
sc, 2 sc in next 2 sc) twice. (38 sc)
Rnd 3: [(Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc)
twice, sc in next 11 sc, (sc in next sc, 2
sc in next sc) twice], repeat between [ ]
once more. (46 sc)
Rnd 4: [(Sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc)
twice, sc in next 11 sc, (sc in next 2 sc,
2 sc in next sc) twice], repeat between [
] once more. (54 sc)
Rnds 5-14: Sc in each sc around.
Attach safety eyes, positioning as
desired. (Sample pillow placed eyes

between sts of rnds 10 & 11)


Rnd 15: (Sc in next 7 sc, skip 1 sc, sc in
next sc) around. (48 sc)
Rnds 16-18: Sc in each sc around.
Begin to divide into the legs of the
tooth...
1st Leg:
Rnd 1: Sc in next 17 sc, ch 6, skip next
24 sc, sc in last 7 sc. (24 sc & 6 ch)
Rnd 2: Sc in next 17 sc, sc in next 6 ch,
sc in last 7 sc. (30 sc)
Rnd 3: (Sc in next 3 sc, skip 1 sc, sc in
next sc) around. (24 sc)
Rnds 4-5: Sc in each sc around.
Rnd 6: (Sc in next 2 sc, skip 1 sc, sc in
next sc) around. (18 sc)
Rnd 7: Sc in each sc around.
Rnd 8: (Sc in next sc, skip 1 sc, sc in
next sc) around. (12 sc)
Rnd 9: Sc in each sc around.
Rnd 10: (Sc2tog) around. (6 sc)
Join with sl st to 1st sc. Fasten off,
leaving a longer length of yarn. Weave
yarn end through remaining 6 sc and
draw to a close. Stuff tooth.
2nd Leg:
Rnd 1: Join with sc in any remaining lp
of ch-6 of rnd 1 of 1st leg and sc in each
lp and sc around. (30 sc)

Rnd 2: Sc in each sc around.


Rnds 3-9: Work as per rnds 3-9 of 1st
leg.
Stuff 2nd leg.
Rnd 10: Work as per rnd 10 of 1st leg.
Finish as for 1st leg.
Mouth: With red, use slip stitches to
create a curved mouth. Refer to photos
for help with placement.

place a top tooth.

Pillow Handle:
Row 1: With blue or color of choice,

Pillow Pocket:
Row 1: With red, ch 4, join with sl st in
4th ch from hook to form a ring, ch 2, 5
dc in ring. Ch 2, turn. (6 dc)
Row 2: Dc in same sp, 2 dc in each dc
across. Ch 2, turn. (12 dc)
Row 3: 2 dc in next dc, (dc in next dc,
2 dc in next dc) across. (18 dc)
Ch 1, turn and begin working in ends
of rows along flat side of semi-circle
just made:
Row 4: Work 2 sc in end of each dc
row across. Ch 1, turn. (12 sc)
Rows 5-7: Sc in each sc across. Ch 1,
turn. Omit ch-1 at end of last row. Sew
pocket in place at back of tooth with sl
st around curved sides and leaving top
of pocket open.

Tooth Brush - Handle:


Rnd 1: Beginning at bottom end of
handle with blue, ch 4, sc in 2nd ch from
hook and in next 2 ch. Continuing to
work along opposite side of foundation
chain, sc in next 3 lps. (6 sc)
Rnds 2-20: Sc in each sc around.
At end of last rnd, join with sl st to 1st
sc. Fasten off, leaving a longer length
of yarn. Stuff handle (Try using the
end of your crochet hook or a pencil to
help push the stuffing into the flat,
narrow tube.) Weave yarn end through
remaining 6 sc and draw to a close.
Tooth Brush - Head:
Rnd 1: With white, ch 7, sc in 2nd ch
from hook and in next 5 ch. Working in
remaining lps along opposite side of
foundation chain, sc in next 6 lps. (12
sc)
Rnds 2-4: Sc in each sc around. Join
with sl st to 1st sc. Fasten off, leaving a
longer length of yarn to sew brush head
in place at end of handle. Flatten handle
and sew brush in place, being sure to
stuff the brush before you finish sewing
it in place.
