TENSES FUTURE WITH WILL

Affirmative Form: We use will and the base form of the verb for some future
forms. We often use the contraction ll in spoken language.
SUBJECT + WILL / LL + BASE FORM OF THE VERB
Examples:
Andrew will be here soon.
Itll rain this week.

Negative Form:

We put not after will. In spoken English, we usually say


wont.

SUBJECT + WILL NOT / WONT + BASE FORM OF THE VERB


Examples:
Andrew wont be here soon.
It wont rain this week.

Question form:

We put will at the beginning of the question, before the


subject and the base form of the verb.
WILL + SUBJECT + BASE FORM OF VERB + ?

Examples:
She will travel to New York next week.
SHORT ANSWERS

Will she travel to New York next week?

WH-Questions:

To ask about the subject, we use:


WH-WORD + WILL + VERB + COMPLEMENT
Examples:

To ask about the complement, we use will before the subject:


WH-WORD + WILL + SUBJECT + VERB (SIMPLE FORM)

USE
We use the future with will in the following cases.

Ex:
