CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION


After analyzing the research of teaching pronunciation as his research
at the eighth grade students of SMP Al-Muflikhin using Audio-lingual method is
effective or not, now the writer is going to draw some conclusions and gives some
suggestions as follows:
5.1 Conclusion
Teaching pronunciation to the eighth grade students of SMP AlMuflikhin through Audio-lingual method is effective. It can be proved by the
increasing of post-test result which better and higher than pre-test. Audio-lingual
method can be used as one of methods to teach pronunciation. The writer also
found some difficulties in teaching pronunciation, especially at the beginning of
the research. It comes from inside and outside the students themselves. From
inside the students, the writer found that students motivation to learn
pronunciation is low. They believed that pronunciation is not important as four
language skills. From outside, the writer found that the environment around the
students didnt support them to learn pronunciation. They learn pronunciation at
school and then they speak their mother tongue at home.

5.2 Suggestion
Finally, the writer gives some suggestion, they are:
1. The teacher should give the students more opportunities to

speak in front of the class and gives them reward for their

bravery to speak in front of the class which can motivate them


to be braver.
2. The teacher should choose good method to teach English,

especially pronunciation. In this case, the writer suggests


Audio-lingual method as a method to teach pronunciation.
3. The teacher should pack the whole teaching and learning

process into a good cover and material. So that the students


can enjoy the activities which given by the teacher.
