1987, Environmental Quality Act, 1974.
C. The qualifying criteria for Activity 8(a) subjected to the 3 weeks Preliminary EIA
processing procedure are:1. Proposed project complies with any development plan approved by the relevant
approving authority and relevant Government policies;
2. Proposed project is located at gazetted industrial area with adequate buffer zone
between project boundary to the nearest sensitive receptor.
3. Proposed project is compatible with the surrounding activities, within 250 meter radius
from project boundary.
4. Proposed project does not involve the use of radioactive material(s) and the generation
of radioactive waste(s).
D. All information disclosed and assessed in this checklist must be accurate, true, correct and
based on critical issues of the proposed project and site.
