Applications diffrentiables :
Diffrentielle dune application :
a U, h E, df (a)(h) = g(h)).
Exemples :
E F, df (a, b)(h, k) = g(a, k) + g(h, b).
Gnralement, Soit E1 , . . .
. . , an )
U, (h1 , . . . , hn ) E1 En :
df (a1 , . . . , an )(h1 , . . . , hn ) = g(h1 , a2 , . . . , an ) + g(a1 , h2 , a3 , . . . , an ) + + g(a1 , . . . , an1 , hn )
Exemples :
a x, y, k, h E, df (x, y)(h, k) = f (h, y) + f (x, k) = hh, yi + hx, ki.

Lapplication f : (A, B, C) (Mn (R))3 7 ABC est multilinaire sur (Mn (R))3 donc diffrentiable sur (Mn (R))3
et on a A, B, C, H, K, L (Mn (R))3 , df (A, B, C)(H, K, L) = f (H, B, C) + f (A, K, C) + f (A, B, L) = HBC +
AKC + ABL.
Proposition 1.3 Soit E, F1 , . . .
On pose f = (f1 , . . . , fn ).
. . , fn sont diffrentiables en a. Dans ce cas, df (a) = (df1 (a), . . . , dfn (a)).
Exemple : Soit f : R2 R3 dfinie par f (x, y) = (x + y, 2x + 3y, xy).
Les composantes f1 (x, y) = x + y, f2 (x, y) = 2x + 3y et f3 (x, y) = xy de f sont diffrentiables sur R2 car f1 , f2 sont linaires
et f3 bilinaire donc f est diffrentiable sur R2 et on a (x, y), (h, k) R2 :
df (x, y)(h, k) = (df1 (x, y)(h, k), df2 (x, y)(h, k), df3 (x, y)(h, k)) = (h + k, 2h + 3k, xk + hy)
df (a)(1) = f 0 (a).
Exemples :
Lapplication f : t R 7 t2 est drivable sur R donc diffrentiable sur R et on a t, h R, df (t)(h) = hf 0 (t) = 2ht.
Lapplication f : t ]0, +[7 ln(t) est drivable sur ]0, +[ donc diffrentiable sur ]0, +[ et on a t ]0, +[, h
R, df (t)(h) = hf 0 (t) = ht .
Soit A Mn (R).

h E \ {0}.
f (a + th) f (a)
Exemples :

On dduit que f est drivable en (1, 1, 1) suivant (1, 2, 3) et on a D(1,2,3) f (1, 1, 1) = 0 (0) = 12.
Drive de lapplication f : M Mn (R) 7 exp(M ) en 0 suivant la matrice H Mn (R) \ {0} : On pose (t) =
f (A + tH) = exp(tH) donc, au voisinage de 0, 0 (t) = H exp(tH) do 0 (0) = H.
On dduit que f est drivable en 0 suivant H et on a DH f (0) = 0 (0) = H.
