Phase 2:
Being the first original American style house, the Prairie School style is and
open two story house. This style consists of strong horizontal lines; borders
around the windows; built in cabinets; built with stucco, stone or brick. This
style uses a lot of empty space in order to create an open airy like feel. To
create open space, doors and walls are removed. It uses lots of windows to
incorporate a lot of natural light.

The second style is a contemporary modern home, it is also an open

story house. Featuring a simple design of horizontal lines, with a unique
diversity of shape and angles. Gable flat roof will offer a more modern look
as well as a clean finish of natural materials of steel, and wood planks for a
more softened industrial look. With tall windows it will provide an open
environment to the floor plan providing lots of natural light, working together
with the colors of the house.

The third style is a international home style. This style is kind of a mix
of a modern and contemporary home design. The roofing style is a flat style
with more of a parapit design instead of a pitched roof. The design shows
mostly light and more natural color. The exterior views would contain larger
beams and columns throughout the design. The main component of the
exterior design is glass and concrete. Window styles are explanatory with the
idea of long glass style fixtures. The shape of the house will be used with
rectangles and squared shapes. The materials used for the home will be
mostly modern architectural design.

We will be using the Prairie School style for our tiny home. The style
has the modern look we are looking for. In the tiny house we are creating, we
are going to separate rooms by putting them on different levels of the house;
similar to the Prairie style because we will be taking out walls and doors to
create space. For the exterior, we are going to use the the Prairie roof
because it will give the modern look but will have a slanted slope, so rain and
snow will not be trapped on the top.
