Princpio de funcionamento

O ventilador centrfugo MAPRO MCF500 constitudo por:

- Um duto de admisso de transporte do gs aspirado
para a entrada no impulsor, que coaxial com o eixo;
- Um impulsor do tipo fechado com uma
entrada de fluxo axial e sada de fluxo
radial;
- Uma voluta de descarga toroidal
com sada tangencial.
Embora o impulsor esteja em
rotao, as palhetas dao um
impulso centrfugo para que o gs
aspirado seja forado para fora no
canal de descarga toroidal.
A voluta admite o gs e descarrega no
canal tangencial.
A compresso ocorre pelo incremento de energia
cintica dado pelas palhetas do impulsor e a
subsequente converso da energia cintica na
presso esttica na voluta , na parte de descarga.

Vantagens

Operating principle
The MAPRO MCF500 centrifugal fan is made of:
- an intake duct conveying the aspirated gas to
the impeller inlet, which is coaxial to the shaft;
- a closed impeller with axial flow inlet and
radial flow exit;
- a toroidal discharge volute with
tangential exit.
While the impeller is rotating, the
vanes give a centrifugal thrust to
the aspirated gas which is forced
outwards into the toroidal
discharge volute. The volute
collects the gas delivering it to a
tangential nosepiece.
The compression occurs through the
increment of kinetic energy given to the
gas by the vanes of the impeller and the
subsequent conversion of the kinetic energy
into static pressure in the discharge volute.

The rotating parts are not in contact with the casing during
rotation.
There is therefore no friction during operation and thus
no internal lubrication is necessary. The gas
moving through the machine therefore remains
uncontaminated and completely oil-free.
The other main advantages of using the

no vibration;
pulsation free gas flow and no
surge;
minimal maintenance.

O ventilador centrfugo MAPRO MCF500 pode ser utilizado para a

(ATEX), Categoria 2, tanto para a rea classificadas e para os
elementos internos da mquina. , por conseguinte um ventilador
prova de gs, com as seguintes caractersticas de construo:
alumnio fundido carcaa, rotor feito de prova de fasca
em liga de alumnio com aletas revestidas, mancais de
rolamentos construdos em ferro fundido e tampas de
alumnio fundido, eixo em ao carbono;
cobertura impregnada com Loctite;
metades da carcaa selada;
vedao do eixo por um par de selos especiais, de vedao
dupla, para a velocidade de rotao at 4200 rpm e Opcional
com por um sistema lubrificador automtico para maiores
rotaes.

Generalities and construction

features in conformity with
the 94/9/EC Directive (ATEX)
The MAPRO MCF500 centrifugal fan to be used for
extraction or compression of combustible gases, such as
biological or natural gas, has been designed in order to fall
within the Equipment-Group II as defined by the 94/9/EC
Directive (ATEX), Category 2 both for the surrounding area
conditions and for the internals of the machine. It is therefore
a gas-tight fan, with the following construction features:
aluminium casted casing, impeller made of spark proof
aluminium alloy with caulked vanes, bearings housing
made in cast iron and aluminium casted caps, shaft in
carbon steel;
casing impregnated with Loctite;
casing halves sealed;
shaft sealing by a pair of special double-lip seals
lubricated for life for speed of rotation up to 4200 rpm and
by an automatic lubricator for higher rpm.

O ventilador centrfugo geralmente acoplado ao motor

eltrico por sistema de correias, com protetores de segurana
anti-fasca.
Ns tambm podemos oferecer mquinas acopladas ao
motor eltrico por sistema de acoplamento flexvel , o
chamado verso - "acoplado" ou seja, uma flange montado
motor eltrico aparafusado caixa do ventilador e ao eixo
do impulsor, o qual est em relao dinmica, montado
diretamente sobre a extenso do eixo motor.
Se a rea em torno do equipamento classificado como Zona
1, os motores eltricos so prova de exploso, tipo de
proteo "d", com certificao especfica Ex II 2 G, adicional
Ex-d IIB T3.
Se a rea em torno do equipamento classificado como Zona
2, onde, para o Grupo II, os equipamentos Categoria 3 so
aceitos, a mquina pode ser equipada com o tipo de proteo
"N", que no produzam fascas motor, com certificao
especfica Ex II 3 G, Ex-nA II T3 adicional.

The centrifugal fan is generally coupled to the electric motor

via belt drive and the safety drive guard is made from
spark-free material.
We can also offer machines coupled to the electric motor via
flexible shaft coupling and centrifugal fans manufactured in
the so-called CLOSE COUPLED version i.e. a flange
mounted electric motor is bolted to the fan casing and the
impeller, which is dynamically balanced, is fitted directly
onto the motor shaft extension.
If the area surrounding the equipment is classified as
Zone 1, the electric motors are flameproof, type of
protection d, with specific marking Ex II 2 G, additional
marking Ex-d IIB T3.
If the area surrounding the equipment is classified as Zone 2,
where, for the Group II, Category 3 equipments are accepted,
the machine could be equipped with the type of protection
n non-sparking motor, with specific marking Ex II 3 G,
additional marking Ex-nA II T3.

equipar com selagem com vedao dupla do eixo de modo que
eles so apropriados para uma barreira de fluido entre eles.

For particular duties and/or in function of the gas

composition, fans with special construction features could be
proposed; for example with the aluminium casted parts
treated with anodic oxidation and the blades of the impeller
in stainless steel; and it is also possible to fit the double-lip
seals in pair on the shaft so that they are suitable for a
barrier fluid in between.

A gama mostrada na literatura refere-se a um biogs com

1.14kg/Nm 3 de peso especfico, a presso de suco
assumida de 1013 mbar abs. e a temperatura de entrada
de 35 C.
As curvas apresentadas acima indicam uma rotao fixa.
Nas curvas de desempenho com menor e maior
velocidade de rotao so apresentados, por
ttulo de informao, alguns valores de
potncia do motor e nvel de rudo
da mquina.
Os motor mostrado na curva
em 2950 rpm destina-se a
ventiladores centrfugos em
sistema de acoplamento,
chamado de
verso acoplado.
Para os ventiladores de 5800 rpm
so para ventiladores com transmisso por correias.
O nvel de rudo pretendido como o nvel de
presso sonora(SPL), medido em campo livre,
esto em conformidade com a norma
EN ISO 2151.

A parte em violeta da "faixa de servio" refere-se

a ventiladores centrfugos fabricados, o
chamada verso "acoplado", equipados com
motores eltricos destinados a controle via
inversor de frequncia.

The range of duty shown in the literature refers to a biogas

presso quando haver queda de vazo do gs Faa o

aplicaes em que a taxa de fluxo de gs pode variar, ainda
consideravelmente, com o tempo. Em suma, o ponto de
operao movimenta, com o tempo, simplesmente seguindo
a caracterstica interna da curva do ventilador.

Extraction of biogas from gasometer, natural gas from

pipeline or gasometer, and burner or gas engine feeding;
tank or plant gas recovery to feed torch or burner.
The typical flow rate pressure curve, rather flat at fixed
rpm, and the absence of surging when decreasing the gas
flow, make the MAPRO centrifugal fan the ideal machine for
all the applications in which the gas flow rate could vary,
even considerably, in time.
In short, the operating point moves, in time, by simply
following the internal characteristic curve of the fan.

The MAPRO MCF500 centrifugal fan can be supplied also for
the compression or extraction of ambient air. In such a case its
construction is simplified and the casing is not gas-tight. The
MCF500 centrifugal fan for the handling of air is also
manufactured in conformity to the requirements of the European
Directive 94/9/EC (ATEX) for Zones 1 and 2, 21 and 22.
