Why should teachers know about curriculum design?

There should be an
access to
everyone.
It is also ideal to
make the campus a
wi-fi zone. Of
course, with a
proper regulations.
Schools should
encourage the
students to use
different learning
resources.

Curriculum serves as the blue print of teaching; it is the master plan of the whole
teaching-learning process. It serves as the guide for the teachers. It is imperative
for the teachers to be familiar to every aspect of it for he/she will be properly
guided. One of its aspects is its design, whether it is a subject-centered, learnercentered, or a problem-centered design. These designs determine what are the
respective foci of the curriculum and so therefore anchored on the objectives of it.
Since teachers always consider the goals of the curriculum in the classroom
discussion, he/she should be knowledgeable of the different design.

What do most principles and theories of curriculum development have in common? How is
this commonality expressed or spelled out in the curriculum of the class you have
observed?

Most principles and theories of curriculum development have in common

expressed through the learning activities that the teacher has provided. Low
performance of the students is considered low if the curriculum has failed. It will
only be a good result if the performance of the pupils produces good results or
high scores. That is the time that we can consider the curriculum deemed
successful if the performance of the learners is higher than the target set. The
principles and theories of curriculum development contain common aspects which
are the welfare of the students. This commonality was expressed in the class
through the effort of the teacher to teach the students, to provide them the
knowledge of their lesson and making sure that they understand the lesson well by
asking those questions and by giving tests.
