management professionals with a mix of abilities from within the property and construction
industries. The workshop covers multiple disciplines and activities, enabling practitioners to be
responsive to the needs of a particular building, its function and organisational objectives. The
importance of effective property and facility management in enabling organizations to function
efficiently is widely recognized.

operators, tenants, facility managers and professional advisors, as well as containing advice on how
facilities can be better managed from a number of perspectives. It consolidates current best practice,
defines and develops emergent areas and offers a pathway for the future development of facility

new or refurbished facility; design for operability; stakeholder management; outsourcing;

maintenance management; information management and building information modelling (BIM).

practice of facility management.
