Master trip TRPPTRC

The master trip function TRPPTRC is used as a trip command collector and
handler after the protection functions. TRPPTRC has a single input OPERATE, through which
all trip output signals are routed from the protection functions within the IED, or from external
protection functions via one or more of the IED's binary inputs. The function has a single trip
output TRIP for connecting the function to one or more of the IED's
binary outputs, and also to other functions within the IED requiring this signal.
There are three different modes of operation of TRPPTRC function
1. Lockout:
In this mode the TRIP signal will be latched and remain Lockout once the input signal
OPERATE is activated. The output TRIP can be manually reset after checking the fault
by activating the RST_LKOUT input or from the LHMI clear menu parameter.
2. Latched :
In this mode the TRIP signal will be latched and remain set once the input signal
OPERATE is activated. The output TRIP can be manually reset by activating the
RST_LKOUT input or from the LHMI clear menu parameter. It is also possible to reset
the "Latched" mode remotelythrough a separate communication parameter.
3. Non latched:
In this mod the trip signal follows the operate signal if the duration of input signal
Operate is longer than a specific setting value TRIP PILSE TIME. Once the input
signal is activated, the output is set for at least the specified duration. If the input is
activated for time more than this setting the output Trip signal will just follow the input.
