Monday

Wednesday

Bible Reading: Luke 24:45-53; Heb. 13:9-25; Prov. 31; Isaiah 65-66

Bible Reading: John 1:19-28; James 1:12-18; Ecc. 2:1-16; Jer. 3-4

Read and meditate on these passages. Finish by praying

for more love to Christ based on your renewed understanding of Gods love for you.
Zeph 3:17; Ps 103:11; Luke 15:20; Romans 5:8; 8:37-39;
Ephesians 2:4-7; 3:17-19; 1 John 3:16; 4:7-12; 4:18; Rev 3:19

So often, when we cannot understand what God is

doing, we are tempted to assume the worst. As a child
doubts his fathers plan when it is not the childs preference, so we too can begin to question Gods ways.
Children cannot begin to understand lifes intricacies as
their parents do. The understanding of finances and relationships and complicated workings of the world are so
far beyond a childs understanding that they must learn
to trust, not b
ecause they fully understand their parents
decisions, but because they fully believe in their parents wisdom and love. So too, we must learn to trust in
the Fathers decisions not because we fully understand
them, but because we fully believe in His wisdom and
love. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are
your ways my ways, decalres the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher
than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55:8-9

Tuesday

Thursday

Bible Reading: John 1:1-18; James 1:1-11; Ecc. 1; Jer. 1-2

Bible Reading: John 1:29-34; James 1:19-27; Ecc. 2:17-26; Jer. 5-6

James writes that we should count it as joy when a believer faces trials. God allows such tests to increase faith and
strengthen the believer. The natural response, when facing
trials, is to not rejoice. The believer then must consciously
commit to facing trials with joy. Pray and thank the Lord that
He allows such trials in your life, knowing that He is working
things togther for His glory and our good (Rom. 8:28).

We study what we love. Many hours are spend learning

about the things that intrigue us. We listen intently to experts talk to gain insight, we read on the subject matter to
accumulate correct facts, and we do all we can to amass
the most knowledge on the subject possible. Then when
the topic comes up in discussion amongst friends, we can
barely contain ourselves. We leap at the opportunity to
show that we are knowledgeable on this matter. There is
no shortage of effort on our part towards learning about
that which we love. Yet all too often, we say we love God
and do little to know him well. We should be daily investing ourselves deeply to search out truths about him, to
study his word to know him more, and to grow as near
as possible to Him who made us, redeemed us, and has
poured out his love on us. No topic is more fascinating, no
study more captivating, and no knowledge more beneficial
to us than to know him. Let him who boasts boast in this,
that he understands and knows me. Jer 9:24
