INTRODUCTION
The Bridge at Main is a literacy and learning center that
prioritizes community learning, adult literacy, youth and family literacy and technology to create a learning environment for 21st Century
skills. We have three resource collections and a variety of services
supporting literacy and learning.
SUSTAINABLE FEATURES
High - Efficient LED Lighting yields a lifetime of 100,000 hours and
integrates with a Lighting Control System that ensures proper
levels of illumination. This strategy also allows the space to take
full advantage of natural light.
Task lamps at each workstation and office provide the user the
ability to manipulate individual light levels.
Installation of a glass storefront system combines the benefit of
allowing natural daylight to trespass the space while providing
patrons views of the outdoors.
Carpet tiles are composed of 68% recycled content and its GlueFree installation eliminates the oder of traditional spread adhesives.
Linoleum flooring is composed of 46.5% Pre-Consumer recycled
content and 33% rapidly renewable materials.
The environmental benefits of the selected furniture range from
its recycled content to being virtually VOC-free.
Energy efficient equipment including flat screen monitors and
computers meet Energy Stars requirements for low energy usage.
