E.g. 10 Kg/cm for 0 - 10 Kg/cm range.
5. Adjust the length of linkages so that pointer exactly reads this range value.
6. In the same way apply mid-range calibration input pressure (25%, 50%, & 75%) and adjust the angle of
linkages if required to achieve accuracy. (Linearity calibration).
7. Repeat above steps to achieve required accuracy. Paint locks all adjustment screws.
7. Pressure Gauge Preventive checking method:
1. Check for vibration coming to pressure gauge. It should not be excessive. If it is there, get
the vibration minimized or mount the pressure gauge in vibration free location with
modification in process impulse line.
2. If pointer is oscillating too much due to pulsating pressure, dampen it by partially closing
its valve.
3. Check for any leakage in process connection at both ends. If it is observed, rectify it
immediately.
4. Put a red mark on dial scale at maximum safe process operating pressure.
5. Always see that latest calibration tag is attached in place. If it is missing make new card
and attach it to the pressure gauge.
8. Maintenance of pressure gauge method:
1. Thoroughly clean the hole in process connection with water and again dry it with
air.
2. Check that all screws for mounting pointer mechanism are properly tightened.
3. Check that turns of pointer spring are free and that they are not overlapped.
4 . Make a mark with red marker on the scale at a dangerous pressure in the
process.
5. Clean scale and glass. Always provide sealing 'o' ring below glass and grease in threads
of cover. Also provide blow-out disc.
9. Safety Instruction:
1. Use Safety shoes, Goggles, Helmet before starting any job.
10.
Health Instruction:
1. Use proper tools to avoid the injury.
2. Always use PPEs.
