Dear Lord, another work week has arrived in our agency;

It roared down the track with the rising of the sun;

The stillness of the moment will be exchanged for the noise of the day;
The calm of solitude will be replaced by the pounding pace of its human resource;
The refuge this early morning will be invaded by decisions to be made and deadlines to be met;
For the next eight or so hours, we will be exposed to the days demand;
It is now that we must make a choice. Because of Calvary, we are free to choose;
And so we choose LOVE;
No occasion justifies hatred;
No injustice warrants bitterness.
Today, we will love you, Oh GOD and what You love.

choose JOY;
will invite you, our God to be the God of circumstance;
will refuse the temptation to be cynical, the tool of the lazy thinker;
will refuse to see people as anything less than the human beings youve created;
will refuse to see any problem as anything less than an opportunity to see You.

We choose PEACE;
We will live forgiven;
We will forgive so that we may live.
We choose PATIENCE;
We will overlook the inconveniences of the world;
Instead cursing the one who takes our place, well invite him to do so;
Rather than complain that the wait is too long, we will thank You, oh Lord, for the moments we
have to pray;
Instead of clenching our fists at new assignments, we will face them with joy and courage.
We choose KINDNESS;
We will be kind to the poor, for they are alone;
Kind to the rich, for they are afraid;
And kind to the unkind, for such is how You treated us.

choose GOODNESS;
will go without, before we take dishonest gain;
will be overlooked, before we will boast;
will confess, before we will accuse.

We choose FAITHFULNESS;
Today, we will keep our promises;
Our debtors will not regret their trust;
Our associates will not question our word;
Our respective spouses will not question our love;
Our children will never fear that their mother/father will not come home.
We choose GENTLENESS;
Nothing is won by force;
We choose to be gentle;
If we raise our voices, may it be only in praise;
If we clench our fists, may it be only in prayer;
If we make a demand, may it be only of ourselves.
We choose SELF-CONTROL;
We are spiritual beings;
After these bodies are dead, our spirits will soar;
We refuse to let what will rot, rule the eternal;
We will be drunk only by joy;
We will be ruled by passion only by my faith;
We will be influenced only by You, oh GOD;
We will be taught only by Christ.
Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control;
To these, we commit this day, this week;
If we succeed, we will give thanks;
If we fail, we will seek Your grace;
And then, when this day is done, we will place our heads on our pillows and rest.
