PROJECT TITLE: I.O.U -Consumer behavior towards purchasing credit products and
loans
INTRODUCTION
You are invited to join a research study to look at consumer behavior towards purchasing credit
products and loans. Please take whatever time you need to discuss the study with your family
and friends, or anyone else you wish to. The decision to join, or not to join, is up to you.
In this research study, we are investigating/testing/comparing/evaluating the nature of various
consumer behaviors towards different types of consumer credit products and loans.
WHAT IS INVOLVED IN THE STUDY?
If you decide to participate you will be asked to answer a few questions about your background
and the types of credit products and loans you use. We think this will take you 10 minutes.
The investigators may stop the study or take you out of the study at any time they judge it is in
your best interest. They may also remove you from the study for various other reasons. They can
do this without your consent.
You can stop participating at any time. If you stop you will not lose any benefits.

This study involves the following risk:

There may also be other risks that we cannot predict.
BENEFITS TO TAKING PART IN THE STUDY?

It is reasonable to expect the following benefits from this research:
This will identify the issues and the origin of certain consumer behaviors which may have
the potential to lead ones detriment. This will also further understand consumers
experience in different credit products and loans and compare them.
This study will spread awareness among the society on how to pick the appropriate credit
product or loan for their current status through the range of products and stating how one
can become over-indebted.
Wise choice and usage of such loans will be of great help to the economy because it
wont cause disturbances in the flow of money in the country and bring about liquidity in
the market.
However, we cant guarantee that you will personally experience benefits from participating in
this study. Others may benefit in the future from the information we find in this study.
CONFIDENTIALITY
We will take the following steps to keep information about you confidential, and to protect it
from unauthorized disclosure, tampering, or damage:
Science and Technology Education Center will have access to the data and records through a
copy of this research paper. Direct quotes will be used and will be given analysis, but the
subjects name will be confidential.
INCENTIVES
Your contributions will be stated in the acknowledgement.

Participation in this study is voluntary. You have the right not to participate at all or to leave the
study at any time. Deciding not to participate or choosing to leave the study will not result in any
