Introduction
Methodsusingthepressurederivativetakeadvantageofthe
advantagesofthetypecurverepresentationandcounteract
thedrawbacksofthelogarithmicrepresentation.
Thesemethodsarebasedonanobservedfact:inawelltest
thepressurevariationismoresignificantthanthepressure
itself.
Thisisillustratedbythefactthatitistheslopeofthesemi
logstraightlinesthatisusedtogetinformationonthe
reservoirinconventionalmethods.

NotetheCDexp(2S)valueofthetypecurve
matchingthedatabest.
Pickamatchpointinboththetypecurve
coordinatesystemandthedatasystem.
