1. (1) This Act may be called the Uttar Pradeqh Laws (Expiration)
Act, 1974.

(2) It sfzall be deemed to have come into forte on September 1, 1972.

the assent of President or Governor, as may be necessaty, has beem published in

the Gazette as an Act (hereinafter referred to as the continuing Act), then
except as otlterwise specially provided i ~ 'the

modifications, the continuing Act shall be deemed and taken to have
effect from the date of expiration of the first mentioned Act (hereinafter
referred to as the said date), as fully and effectually to all intents and
purposes as if the continuing Act had actually been published In the
Gazette before the said date, and

(b) where the expiring Act is intended to be continued with any modifications, t 1le conri~~~tix~f?;
