Oscar of Swedens new releases for autumn and winter 2016 have one thing in
common: The collection is urban very
urban. It weaves together the metropolitan claims to quality with the genuine
craftsmanship of finely worked details
and two-ply twill a quality fabric that
ensures great lustre and vibrant colours.
Were also introducing a uniquely generous selection of top-class, two-ply
Italian flannels.
A true urban environment is fast-changing and trend-sensitive. Our new
collection reflects this seasons fashions
with paler colours, darker tones and a
renaissance of stripes. The dominant
pattern element is still prints, both in
dressy and casual styles, although the
casual prints are definitely splashier.
For just the right relaxed feel, were also
launching garment-washed models, a
treatment that creates volume in collars
and materials. The result is quite simply a
favourite shirt right from the start.
Our choice of venue to show off this
new collection was simple. We went
straight to the crowning glory, the Venice
of the North, the capital of Sweden
Stockholm. A city of traditions with a
reputation for having its finger on the
pulse of the future. Once languishing at
the outskirts of Europe, now an essential
destination for the trend spotters of the
modern fashion industry. A city that has
conquered the world with fashion, music
and computer games.
