OF APPEAL
Defendant.
Notice is given that Sheriff Joseph M. Arpaio, both in his official capacity
as Sheriff of Maricopa County, AZ, and in his individual capacity, as well as civil
contemnors Chief Deputy Gerard Sheridan and Lieutenant Joseph Sousa, pursuant to Rule
4(a) of the Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure, appeal to the United States Court of
Appeals for the Ninth Circuit from the District Courts Second Supplemental Permanent
Injunction/Judgment Order dated July 20, 2016 (Doc. 1748, amended by Docs. 1760,
1765, 1786), and all interlocutory, non-final orders incorporated therein. See Hall v. City
of Los Angeles, 697 F.3d 1059, 1070 (9th Cir. 2012) (by appealing a final judgment, an
appellant implicitly brought all of the district courts subordinate orders within the
jurisdiction of our court.); Bradshaw v. Zoological Soc. of San Diego, 662 F.2d 1301,
1304 (9th Cir. 1981) (non-final judgments merge with final judgment for purposes of
appeal).
