First Essay
The hardest part of writing this first essay for me was the counter argument paragraph. In
the first draft, I had not included a counter argument but once a peer in class reviewed my essay I
was told that I needed to include one. The difficult part of writing a counter argument was that
instead of thinking of the positive impact that technology had, I had to change my whole
perspective and think of the negatives. I had to use the mindset of someone that would disagree
with everything that I wrote about and this is what I had trouble with. Another issue I had with
this essay was thinking of a thesis. I spent nearly an hour reviewing the thesis PowerPoint we
went over in class and following the steps. Once I had completed the thesis and my peers in class
reviewed my essay and they did not give me any suggestions for it because they thought that it
was meaningful and didnt need to be revised. The last part left for my essay before I submit it is
to visit the LRC to confirm that there isnt any sentences or paragraphs that should be revised.
