Dear Santa Rosa Families,

September 25, 2016

We are pleased to announce that Mrs. Galicia and Mrs. Campos are taking a group of
students on an educational and culturally immersive tour to Costa Rica and Nicaragua in
June 2017, and we would like to invite your student, to participate in this unique
opportunity. This opportunity will give your child a chance to journey into the heart of Central
America. We will begin in Nicaragua with an in-depth look at Granada, one of the first European
cities in the mainland Americas. Then well cross the border into Costa Rica, where we'll discover
the volcanic Arenal Region and the rich wildlife of the Rincn de la Vieja National Park in
Guanacaste. Snorkeling, zip lining, kayaking, and visiting hot springs and volcanos are only a few
of our upcoming adventures!
Being a world traveler in high school makes students more competitive as college applicants
and more likely to participate in travel abroad programs. Colleges and universities want to
see students stretch themselves to experience different cultures, so that stamp in a passport
can be a ticket into the college of your dreams! Those who travel with us may participate in
EFs weShare program and develop a project related to our destinations, based on their
individual interests. After completion of the project, students will be issued high school or
even college credit!
We have chosen to travel with EF Tours because of their reputation as the World Leader in
International Education. They have been in education and travel for more than 50 years and
have local offices in over 50 countries throughout the world. EF guarantees the lowest prices
for the highest quality and also offers a monthly payment plan to make the trip more
affordable. Lower pricing now and lower monthly payments for planning this far in advance
are the main reasons I start to plan now.
We will be hosting an informational meeting on Tuesday, September 27th at 6pm in the
Technology room. We will be there to answer all of your questions. I hope you will come to
learn more about this amazing cultural experience for your student!
Please note that space is limited, and the trip is expected to fill. We will take students on a
first-come, first-serve basis. There are only 30 spots available, and 20 are already filled. If
you would like to attend this informational meeting, please RSVP by Monday, September
26th by e-mailing us at SRA.TravelClub@gmail.com with the following information:
Student name/email; parent name/email; best contact number.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. We look forward to welcoming your child into the
program!
Warm regards,

Mrs. Karla Galicia and Ms. Campos
