Mendoza-Denton provides three hallmarks in which community of practice is displayed among

participants: 1) mutual engagement: two parties are mutually engaged in a practice 2) a jointly
negotiable enterprise: both parties have a say (the production of the identity) 3) a shared
repertoire: mutually recognizable makeup, hairstyle and linguistic practices

The land becomes the home. As a child they have been exposed to jewish holidays, and attending
jewish private schools which expose them to jewish values and ideals that has created this
habitus of Jewishness socialiezed them to connect with the land of Israel

professionalsincludingdoctors,lawyers,andaccountantscirculateandfunctiontocultivate
withingroupsolidarity.
