    A desktop computer is a personal computer designed for regular use in one location, usually on a desk. Early desktop computers were designed to lay flat on the desk.     A desktop computer is a personal computer (PC) in a form intended for regular use at a

    single location. Early desktop computers are designed to lay flat on the desk.The main
    advantage of desktop is, that (apart from environmental concerns) power consumption is
    not as critical as in laptop computers because the desktop is powered from the wall
    socket. Desktop computers also provides more space for heat to escape.
